Throw back to old days w/ this set up idea. Bid for tools, and etc. then use that for your 2 hour set up before you fight.
I like the 1-3hour setup scramble more. Unfortunately I think the point of doing these auctions is to save that time y'know. I don't think they've gotten an editor but once they do hopefully we can see some more of that similar content :)
That's an awesome idea but I think they'd have a hard time keeping that under 45 mins, if not more. Still.. cool idea, I'd watch it.

How about - if you end up using the same method to get money then that quantity is null. So you have to find super niche but efficient money-makers to make your GP.

This is honestly my favorite style of video in the series. Would love to see more variations of the auctions!
Ideas:
- Completely silent auction
- Double up on GP & gear
- Random amount of weapons (could be 2 or could be 4)
- At anytime you could silent auction off a swap (i.e one person says 10m another says 12m and the 12m bid gets to swap an item of their choosing for yours)
Mates this could be an amazing series by itself. I’m just saying there’s so many more ideas you guys could do (completely blind bidding where you have 0 idea about how many weapons or what tier or anything, or bid on tools that you can use for an hour after the bidding to make gear, etc.) I’m just saying I would watch the shit out of more of these bidding vids

@Rargh do a blind item binding, the only information you all can get are like either tops, bottoms, cape, weapon, shield, etc but you do not know what item it is. Then at the end you and link can do an item reveal to show what items you both have bid for with that 50 mil.

Okay love'd it again. Improvement here: your last item in the auction becomes whoever has the most money left. You need to include a 1m per shark(or swordfish) instead of lobster. To add even more reason to be reasonable with the bids.
New bid concept: Split up the game map into separate areas and bid on them, then with the areas you bought you can gather gear/supplies for the final fight.

You guys should do a silent bid second price auction next. Second price auction means that the winner pays the 2nd highest bidder's price (e.g. the other guy's bid in a 2 person game).
In economic theory these auction are special because the best strategy is to bid your true valuation. (Overbidding only makes it likely that you'll win the item at a price you're not willing to pay, underbidding does not save you money and only decreases the probability that you win at a price you'd like to pay).

Rargh no you’re actually just bad at bidding, bidding 9.5 mil on infinity and not committing to mage is just a huge waste of money. Either go ham on mage or bid like 2 mil on each item and let link waste his money on mage and 2 melee weapons. Either you have mage so tank armor would be worthless or you have more money than link and you can buy tank armor
@@BoyMuggy What you just mentioned has nothing to do with "bidding" skills. I had range gear. I had magic gear. I had to pick one style, and drop the other. I bid low because I didn't want it. I wasn't going to waste THREE invo spots for runes on a mediocre spell that is slow and can only hit a 20. Fire wave would not have won me the fight.

I refuse to believe fire wave (with giving up three inventory spots for runes) was going to best a dragon hasta or granite hammer. If I can go back in time I would literally do the SAME thing on that bid. There is legit a reason no one pks with that spell unless you have tome of fire and 25% damage boosting capabilities on top of it. Come on guys 😂😂😂

As usual, Rargh unnecessarily undereats and gets KO'd when he could've won. A little extra DPS isn't worth it if you're dead. And he constantly let's his HP get to less than 2 hits from Link
id vote for these to just be the entirety of season 3 honestly, i really enjoy these. and you could always switch them up with diferent little things, like one is silent, one could be a regular auction, maybe one youd have 5 hours to make the cash to bid with in max gear. theres a million little ways you could switch up this auction version to not make it stale

Fight idea: you each get 1 servant to help you gather materials for the final fight INCLUDING FOOD. They can only do EXACTLY what you ask (like a slayer task) and you have to supply the gear to them with a starting 100k. That same money cant be used for self gearing up. The servant is an ultimate iron man as well. You can not use the gear that you gave the servant in ther final fight. You and link can agree to what gear to start off with as well. You're Welcome!
I am not a Runescape player, I have no idea how this game works or what these items do but this was still extremely fun to watch.

I absolutely love these auction type videos and I'd love to see more of them. What if you did the following:
A market scene where you invite other people (possibly family youtubers) who set up a market. Link and Rargh get a set amount of money to buy from these markets. Each of the markets would have crazy items. (Like evscape could have a food market and sell strange items). You can only visit each market stall only once before moving to the next, you dont know the prices or items ahead of time. You are allowed 1 "haggle" where you instantly get any 1 time half off. Could be some good time for friendly banter. Idk just an idea.
douglas haislet this actually sounds pretty fun but would take a lot to setup. Maybe make this a 2v2 challenge so the video is extra long considering the effort that would go to get it built in the first place.

not to put down any of your other content (god knows ive been subbed long enough and watched just about everything -- including upgrade&unlock) but these bidding videos are my favorite by far. they're amazing. I love making 'bids' for each of you in my mind and seeing how it all plays out.
edit: also (besides the spec, which makes it worthwhile imo) surprised at the dragon hasta choice, considering the -15 ranged defense. really thought it wouldn't do as well as it did
