So far so good with this vacuum. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.
For anyone reading these comments: Don't steam mop/clean hardwood floors. You will dull the sh*t out of them and have to wax them to fix it. Just mop with a wood floor cleaner, trust me. I have a cordless power mop and its perfect for my wood floors. Steam is better for tile, vinyl, laminate, epoxy, and such. Glass and synthetics. Save your wood floors, and avoid the steam.
*A great vacuum💯 for the price. The suction is awesome **MyBest.Tools** excellent for pet hair. The beater attachment works great on the stairs. Not too heavy and easily maneuvered.🤨*
Do you use any soap? Also, our handle/shaft did snap, but I fixed it with a 1" piece of PVC tube, putting the 'top' & 'bottom' into the pvc and putting a screw through each, still functioning since then!!
I have one of these and I hate it. It hurts my back and my floors are always still sticky after I use it. I noticed that the pad does not make contact with the floor on all parts of the pad, just in some key areas, so the parts of the pad that come out clean after I mop... It means the dirt is still on the floor from when I swiped over that spot on the floor.
I bought mine from good will and it works like a champ our house has about 1800 sf of tile and the rest is vinyl plank floor, tile is the only thing I recommend for the steam mop it will distort vinyl and wood finish read the instructions I found them online and check the maintenance for the type of floor you have also it works well in the tile shower stall
I got mine free when i bought the shark vacuum. I have laminate floors and it did pretty well but you had to push fairly hard and i broke the handle. Oh well i think you need the pricier model which i'm going to buy as i liked the steam mop but it was too flimsy. Love the vacuum!!!!!!
I got the steam mop because the white vinegar & distilled water thing just wasn't working. As I cleaned with the steam mop it got up all the dirt and spots really well, BUT it seemed to take off the finish!! I just read Kathy's comments and am really upset. I should have read these BEFORE I used it! I can still use it on the tile floor, but I got it specifically for our new bamboo floors. I won't DARE use it now. I'll contact the company as well. Seemingly not a lot of satisfaction there.
The shark steam mop cleaned my floor, however I believe that it is melting my prefinished wood floors prior to using the Shark I used distilled water and vinagar but now my floors smudge the first time I step on them, my floors are ruined, I called Shark they said to keep cleaning them I must have old wax on them I have cleaned them 15 times in the past two weeks and it is getting worse what can I do. I have thousands of dollars invested in my floors( whole house) please help me.
I have this and hate it! my wife has a lot of allergies to cleaners so I thought it would be perfect but my floors are sticky and smudged constantly. :(

I'll have to say my experience with this product was horrible. The instructions say it will take 30 seconds to heat the water. It really took 30 minute. The steam was hot, but it fissed out after 1 minute of use. This Shark product really does bite.
With the accessories supplied with this Shark Steam Mop, you can easily glide through your carpets, worktops, sink, bath, tap shower cubicle, grouting children toys and many surfaces in the house.

This is a steam mop, not a vacuum.

Mine was free with shampooer. It takes a little while to heat up but when it does it cleans ok.

absolutely true about the pad not making contact with the floor on all parts of the pad I just got mine today and noticed that immediately!!!
I've had mine for 5 years and it just died :( But I've always been happy with it,,Just went to Sharks site and ordered the New Genius pocket mop
Does this work for tough stains

8 to 9 out of a possible 10 and the steam mop is pretty good too.

Is this mop working?
Got one for free from the boyfriend's parents... I used it today, but I don't really know if it's doing all that much..
I just got a used one, is there an on/off switch?
@@MultiLisa10 No, when you plug it in it starts going. When not using it, unplug it.
Thanks for your helpful Info

Mine isn’t hissing and I cleaned it and everything
This mop only takes purified water. If you look at the original instructions for the mop, it says it right there in the instructions.
