Since creating this video Luminar Neo has been updated and improved. You can get the newest version on sale here: bit.ly/NeoSale and maybe save more with coupon: ATNEO10 (sometimes Skylum de-activate the code if there's already a promotion running but worth giving a go!)
I was deeply touched by all of the messages wishing me well in the last video. I read them all and you guys helped pull me through. THANK YOU! I go over how I've been in this video, but overall I'm improving and I'm keen to get back into creating tutorials and helping you learn photo editing. Soooo... what do you want me to cover???? Thanks for the support! 👍🙏
Another A++++ video! Welcome back!!!! The joy has returned to your voice. We all have missed you. This video taught me SO MUCH about the intricacies of making a photo into something to frame on one's wall! Things like your glasses are things I miss on my own images, but because I just share them with family and friends, I would never go back to correct them. I will strive to make every image I share something ALMOST as good. I will never reach the level that you show us, but you are a great teacher and show me how to approach my editing problems. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Mark
Glad to see you back in the saddle Anthony! I go for the warmth! ☺ Glad I watched this because I was going to leave a comment about 'undo's' so I learned a bonus point today! Thanks.
Glad to see your back and that you have had a great time holidaying with your beautiful family. Don't get upset by people who insult you or say nasty things as they have no beauty inside them. They need help and compassion to find joy in their miserable lives. Stay safe and stay well. 👍
As you can read from all your friends I also am very happy that you are back sending us all information on Luminar - keep it slow, and thanks for your work.
Brilliant as always Anthony, learning is such fun with you and I am almost 72 years old keep up the great work, in particular you really helped me through the Covid period which I found difficult.
Hi Anthony! I didn't want to disturb you while you were coping with your illness, so I didn't send you any messages this time, but it's good to see you are back and feeling better again. Regards from Felix the Cat. 😺
Hello my friend. Haven’t been around for a while so not sure what happened. Gave on on Luminar because they gave up on helping me. I think I even paid for Neo at its inception but I was so frustrated I can’t bring myself to open the program and see in explode on 15 minutes. Going through some horrible health issues myself and I see my surgeon this Tuesday. Not sure if I’ll ever be able to hike more than half a mile again. It’s been difficult remaining up beat. Wish we were closer. You have always been so kind and I ❤how you treat people. Any way. Saw your notification. Just wanted to say I think you are awesome and once I get the courage maybe I can check in with the magicians at Luminar and see why I fell through the cracks.
Thanks for another great video Anthony...Good to see you back but, take your time coming back, I do know as been through it. Take NO notice of people making stupid nasty comments. They aren't worth it. Block them if you can. Mostly look after yourself & Family...Colin Devon uk.
Man, it's good to have you back! It's literally the highlight of my day! Missed the educational content and missed the fun energy you put into these! Glad to see you're back up and trucking on again!
Good to have you back Anthony, I’ve missed your videos! As usual, I’ve found this one very useful. I prefer the warmer version, but I find that 80% of what I shoot always gets warmed up!
Good to see you back fella. Regarding the trolls, just remember that for some people, their only taste of success will be when they take a bite out of you. Very interesting to see how to use that hue shift. Great image though but great to see you getting back to yourself.
Thanks Anthony. Really helpful. Now reediting my family photos from our trip to Porters skifield. Have found it challenging editing high contrast images. Will now use your technique. Good to see you back and see you enjoying what you do.
Welcome back, Anthony! Your energy was greatly missed here. I'm glad you're doing better and took the time for yourself. This was a great video to start back with, too. Very well done edit and looks like a fun time. As someone who didn't get any snow this year, I'm jealous. I definitely prefer the warmer version of your final photo edit. If a portrait isn't black and white, I almost always prefer warmth. And definitely post a video of a new workstation build if you're going to do it. I'm curious to see what components you pick since you'll be designing the workstation for a particular workload. Again, welcome back, and I hope you continue to focus on your own health.
Welcome back Anthony, good to see you in a happy and supportive environment. To the editing part, I wonder what would have happened if you dropped the image in the HDR box and run it. I know you would have lost the advantage of working with a RAW file, but I wonder how that would streamlined the process and whether or not it would look different in the end.
Hi again Anthony. I prefer the warmer version of your group portrait picture! 🐱 However, I would have used the more subtle 'Golden Hour' tab in Landscape as it seems to be easier to control the amount of warmth introduced. Another method would be to use the 'Warm/Cool' slider in Colour Harmony. 🐱 How about showing us how to apply the 'Magic Light' tool Anthony? Regards from Felix the Cat! 😸
Well very huge work here and good demonstration of Luminar capabilities. I am not a big fan of all : the harmonization of colors leads you to have a kind of black and white suit collection which is a little sad and the high key pits a very artificial, feeling… but these are my tastes and maybe not yours :). Anyway very good master class on the way of masking. Thx for all.
It’s great to have you back Anthony! Thanks for this new tutorial. Is there a way to copy all these changes and put it in several other pictures? (Badge)
Hi! Yes, (sort of) you could create a preset with the tool settings, but the masking would need to be adapted. The colour adjustments in this were quite specific to this particular photo though so probably wouldn't be much benefit adding them to the preset.
Hi Anthony. Good to see you back! I was wondering. The best camera is the camera who's with you and a lot of time this is my iPhone. If you ever find the time and have a iPhone with Proraw you could not make me happier to learn me (maybe us) how to develop them. Especially the ones with extreme HDR.
No promises, but send me a few files through to anthonyeditsyourphotos@gmail.com and a brief note of what you're wanting to achieve in the edit. Cheers.
BIG NEWS! Skylum has just launched a summer sale where you can save a massive 81% off Luminar Neo here bit.ly/NeoSale But the cool thing is in addition to that they've given me a coupon code to share with you so you get to save ANOTHER 20% (use code AFF-T5C1C0 ) I really hope that helps you out! It should work for both the perpetual licence and the subscription too. Enjoy😄 Best wishes, Anthony
Hi Anthony THANK YOU for all you tutorials. I learn something new each time I see one. I would love to see a video on you new PC build. I recently replaced my Intel i5 / 16 GB RAM / 512 MB GPU / 250 GB SD HD with AMD Ryzen 9 5900X / 64 GB DDR 4 RAM 3200 GHz / 4 GB GPU / 1 TB M.2 SSD / Gigabyte Aorus PRO V2 BB550 motherboard and WOW!!!! a tremendous improvement in Luminar Neo rendering and saving of files. I would love to see what you consider an up to date Photo editing rig. I did not splurge on my GPU - I'm not a gamer so I don't need a 16GB GPU
Nice. Glad you got an update. Makes a big difference eh. Your system is very similar to mine except I have an older Ryzen 7. Not sure what I'll build yet but really looking forward to a new machine. It's got to be zippy because I run Neo plus video recording software and often other programs all at the same time. I'll try and do a vid on it when I do the build.
@@AnthonyTurnham Looking forward to seeing your build video. I guess you need more GPU RAM if you want to do some video editing with a tool like DiVinci Resolve 18
New to Luminar NEO? Skylum reached out to me today with a temporary discount code you can use to save even more off Neo and other assets in their Summer sale. Go here bit.ly/Luminar-NEO use code AFS-YtXN8E Hope that helps 👍😀
I own Neo but rarely use it to be honest. But I think where it’s lagging is in the clone/healing/spot removal category. With Photoshop is so easy to remove distracting elements now. Given how much Luminar uses AI, they should be able to provide much more advanced tools in that area. If they are already , please tell me.
Neo is really slow on my computer for some reason. My laptop is five years old, which may be part of the reason. I had the old hard drive replaced with a solid state drive.
