@@new.asteroid.tracker it has, and I updated it with another link to the software but that too has gone "poof". I have a copy on my PC but I don't have the rights to redistribute it from astrojargon or I would.
Apature for the telescope 🔭 is the diameter of your first optical element: for refractors that’s is the front lens, newtonian / dobsonian telescopes it’s the diameter of the primary mirror, for Schmidt Cassegrain telescopes it’s the diameter of the front corrector plate. Most scopes have the Aperture in the name (like William Optics ZenithStar80ED II - the Aperture is 80mm / Celestron EdgeHD8 - the aperture is 8” or 203mm).
Apparently it’s broken, there is a link to a desktop app version, give that a try. Unfortunately I don’t manage those apps so I can’t control availability
Thanks For The Video..I made a Bahitnov Mask With Paper And Cardboard For My Telescope.. Definitely Some Good Tool to make Rather Than Buying one : )👍👍🔭
Thanks Ted - Check out this site as they made a bunch of the common masks before from the Astrojargon Tool - www.deepskywatch.com/Articles/make-bahtinov-mask.html
@@EmberSkyMedia Yep thx, I saw that one too. They link to Astrojargon as well and those templates don't quite fir my 120mm f7 apo that will be here Monday. When I was buying all the stuff for it I was thinking about what in the hell I was forgetting about and then last night it hit me. I have a nice William Optics on order as of last night but it's going to take at least a week to get here. I guess I'll have to stick with the old Redcat untill it gets here because I don't know of any other way to get it in focus well enough to do quantity AP. I was going to make one in the meantime. I'm going to search a little deeper now
how do you print your bahtinov mask? i have a vixen MC 110 telescope but i cant make it to 3d print

Your first like to Bahtinov Mask Generator is broken. can you fix it?
I'm hopeful it might come back one day :/
@@EmberSkyMedia it's been my experiences that when a link is broken it's because the page has disappeared completely

informative video, however i've not totally understood how do you get the aperture size ? is it the same factor for a telescope and an objective?

It’s nice to have one custom made and optimized for your particular optics.
Muchas gracias!, saludos desde Argentina.

I would like to get #freebahtinovmask for my canon 50mm f1.8
The contest is over but I’m hopeful to have another soon!
A coffee can top works great
Yes if the lid fits your scope diameter its a good thickness to cut out the required slits.
Astrojargon is down...just an fyi
