Jeffrey, after two years, have you changed your approach or feelings about this AQ monitor? Also, do you have one of these in every, or many rooms throughout the house? If not, would you consider a system that does not have a display, but rather routes all information to a central app? (not pushing any one product or approach, just genuinely interested in your take / experiences given you particular extreme sensitively and the obvious time and effort you put into deliberately identifying the most effective products). I live in Canada so the Awair is obscenely priced ($500+), and I'm hoping for something more like a low-cost but effective distributed system - like Raspberry Pis with Sensehats). Thanks again for the great work you put into all of your videos.
Your skin is looking great! Thanks for these helpful and informative videos, especially your Dupixent mentions. I’m looking into that for my atopic dermatitis.
So glad I found ur page. I've never seen anyone with skin that looks like my daughter's ( full body ) I'm subscribing. Shes only 11 but we've been fighting since she was 4. HHopefully watching u could help her. Thank you for putting urself out there
Hi Alayah! Sorry to hear your daughter also has full body eczema...it literally is hell on earth with the burning, pain, cracks, dryness, and of course itching. Let her know that because of this, she's stronger and tougher than most people, whether if they're kids or adults. She'll be able to handle any challenges in life and can be a hero to many.
Jeff...you make the best reviews. You are helping a lot of folks with your indepth videos and insights. My deepest gratitude and appreciation goes out to you. Please stay strong and safe.Keep up the great work 👍👍👏👏.Thank you.
Thank you for making videos like these, I have indoor allergies, and had pnemonia 12+ times. my health began to improve after reading "Plant Paradox", as well as cleaning that indoor air.
Great informative video and I am so sorry for your trials! I was considering purchasing this unit but the reviews on Amazon included so many complaints about difficulty connecting to their Wi-Fi-- I now feel discouraged to buy it.
Hey Gwen, thanks for the support! For the WiFi, I’ve never had problems, but I’m not sure about other people. If you have Amazon prime, you should be able to return it if it doesn’t work well for you.
I did see another version of this device (one that is entirely white) and it has a button on the back. Tap it and it will cycle through temp, hum, etc showing the current value on the device itself. Maybe a little tip so that you don’t have to open the app! Great video, thanks!
Thanks for the video Jeff! Is there a device to detect mold spore, cockroach feces, pollen and dust mites in air? This can help in fixing the root cause of allergies.
Have you tried uHoo or AirVisual (IQAir)? I haven’t tried Awair but found uHoo to be slightly more sensitive than the AirVisual and wondering how this compares to Awair. What uHoo doesn’t have is the visual indicator so you need your Phone to see the readings.
Hey, I tried AirVisual but don’t remember it monitoring VOC levels, which is important for me to have. I feel Awair is more accurate/sensitive than AirVisual. Never tried uHoo.
@Jeffrey Lin In any case, how would you describe your shortness of breath ? Is it like you are unable to take a deep, satisfactory breath ? You can only take that deep satisfactory breath after multiple attempts ?
My son has what I call pretty rough allergies. He's always congested .... Anyways I'm interested in the documentary your talking about. Do you mind telling me what it's called. Thank you for sharing.
"Eczema". I buy filter water to wash with it helps my eczema. If I use city water my skin is a mess. I read a book that reverse osmosis is they best way to got for eczema.
Jeffrey Lin thank you for your reply. Most clothing cause allergies, please make a video showing us the stores or best brands for us suffering from Polyester and other synthetic fabrics. Thank you for all your hard work.
Hey, sorry I don’t have a specific brand or company. Sometimes the same company can change fabric or texture, so I just do a touch test to see how each individual item feels.
@Mara A where do you buy your clothing? My skin is been burning from inside out... still after 1 1/2 year the doctors can’t understand the reason. Cotton not always feel right :(
Hi Jeffrey! I'm also have a severe eczema since I was a baby and Dupixent is not available in my country (Indonesia). I just want to know now that your skin is getting better because of dupixent, do you still need to use moisturizer?
Hi Karine, sorry to hear Dupixent is not available in your country. Hope it will be soon. I use a bit of moisturizer because I live in Los Angeles and it is very dry here. But my skin is mostly normal now with Dupixent.
@@JeffreyLin thank you so much for replying me. When we stop dupixent, will the eczema come back like when we use steroid? Do you have any IG? I would like to follow you
It’s possible for eczema to return, but it’s also possible your skin stays healed as Dupixent doesn’t just fix the surface but also fixes the immune system causing the eczema. So, if your immune system calms down enough, it’s possible for the skin to remain healed. Dupixent is still too new so no one knows for sure. My iG: jeffreylinLA
Hi, thanks for the great videos. I’ve just come across your channel, can I ask, have you tried the vegan diet? It seems to have worked for a lot of us eczema sufferers :)
Hi Rida, if you’ve watched my other videos, you’ll know that eczema is only one of many of my immune problems, so it’s not so simple. I’m literally allergic to all food and everything on the planet. My safest food is beef and potatoes. I can’t do a vegan diet because I’m allergic to those foods.
Yes i have many times. Even at the lowest dose the labs can create, I go into anaphylaxis allergic reactions. My condition is just too sensitive to any allergens at all. But yes, allergy immunotherapy is a good first step for many people to try.
It got bad reviews on amazon compared to the 1st gen version. maybe they pulled it off the shelf. They no longer selling it there either. I got the 1st one which seems ok. pm 2.5 is pretty useless since its only really for pollution. wish it did pm 10 as well then it would be perfect. co2 monitor and chemicals seem pretty accurate. Not as sensitive as the airthings device I have though but alot less money and good enough imo. Really I guess it depends on if you'd rather pm 2.5 or radon monitoring. I feel I still need a better PM monitor cause the airwair nor the airthings cover that department.
so I did some research and found out the wooden box one is the classic version. They probably don't make it anymore. the all white and grey one is the newer one. They are both the "2nd" gen version.
Anyone using this device? The chemicals in my new place are registering about 7-10x what they were in my old home I’m trying to get to the bottom of it. Thx!
The problem with this device is that its actual measurements are drastically wrong. It's all marketing and pretty packaging but the electronics are garbage. Save your money!
I hate the generalization they make when they say “chemicals” well what dam “chemicals” are they speaking of that they don’t already specify. Everything is a dam chemical.

Thanks for review! May I ask, have you tried either Air Things or Foobot monitors? If yes, what did you think?
What do you think of the uHoo Air monitoring device?
I was wondering what type of clothing you wear?
I only wear 100% cotton, and the texture and weave of the fabric matters a lot as well. I have to feel the cotton to know if I’ll be ok wearing it

Thanks Rida! I’m already better than I ever dreamed. One step at a time.
Hey! Have you considered trying Allergy Immunotherapy? Same concept as a vaccine.
Yes i have many times. Even at the lowest dose the labs can create, I go into anaphylaxis allergic reactions. My condition is just too sensitive to any allergens at all. But yes, allergy immunotherapy is a good first step for many people to try.
Have you tried Allerplex? Namaste Brother
I haven't. Is it something you recommend?
@@JeffreyLin You've got nothing to lose brother. To your success
Hi Jeff have you heated about heavy metal
Do you Know if any sensors test for pesticides?
Hi, this air quality monitor tests for VOCs (volatile organic compounds) which can include some pesticides but don’t know which specific ones.
@@JeffreyLin thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to answer me!
Will any of these devices detect Mold?
Thanks for the review. As of now, are you still happy with it? Do you know why Awair no longer shows this version on their website?
It got bad reviews on amazon compared to the 1st gen version. maybe they pulled it off the shelf. They no longer selling it there either. Was it recently painted or were other toxic chemicals applied if it was renewed?
Have you checked out airthings products?
I haven’t. Is it good?
Review the UHoo?!
Haha I buy these myself, so unless I need a new one, I probably wont buy another.
Pm 2.5 is only for pollution. Not dust and not most allergies. You need pm 10 for that. It's kind of false advertising by this company.
What about mould my neighbor is spraying mould into my house purposely
I believe it can detect mold
This is the best one so far thank you for the video helps lots I appreciate you.
Hope it helps!
Do you know about genetic mutations

Yes, but it’s only one of many immune conditions I have
