  • Took a new wetsuit to Truk Lagoon so thought we'd give it a little review!
Loving the new Scubapro Everflex 3/2. Super stretchy, well fitted, comfortable and zero restriction from the double-head front zipper.
Best of all is it's good for you and the environment!!
Have a watch and us know what you think?!?
Filmed on location at Blue Lagoon Resort, Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon

My wife and I have done 60+ dives each in our Everflex wetsuits (5/4 mm and 3/2 mm) and we can honestly testify that these two bad boys are as good as many say. The Everflex is extremely comfortable, stretchy, warm, easy to don/doff, very durable and well-designed/constructed. They look great and the fit is superb. My wife's short and slim (162 cm and 53 kg) and I'm 182 cm and chubby (106 kg) but we easily found the right fits for us both. So, top marks from us...

Hi Richard.Be interested to know how you found the sizing? I'm looking to pick one of these up and I noticed it was an XL in your vid so your height and weight would help me gauge what size I'd need. Also, there's rumours of the ankle and wrist seals ripping - did you find any issues with that?Nice informative video so thanks!Cheers.

bouk I’ve found the sizing very good actually. Most things in life I find I need an XL, and this fits like a glove. I’m 193cm (6ft 4”), 44/46 inch chest, and weigh around 105kg. I’d always recommend trying a wetsuit on first anyway.
I’ve just purchase a Waterproof exposure suit (1.5mm), and had to go for the XXL as the XL was just too restrictive!
And yes - I did experience the seal on the wrist being compromised around the little iSecure tab. I got about 150 dives with this wetsuit, but it was such a comfortable wetsuit I’ve swapped for another exactly the same.

Great Richard, thanks for the precise info, it really helps. I've got other Scubapro wetsuits, just wondered if the sizing might have been any different with their new suits but sounds like they'll be similar :) Interesting about the wrist seals - when I heard about this issue it did make me think about the Definition instead with the zips at ankles and wrists to maybe negate this problem but then wouldn't have the flexibility of the Everflex (even though it's still X-foam) or the front zip which I find intriguing!

bouk honestly - I wouldn’t let the wrist thing put you off. I had the issue but still replaced it with another one exactly the same.
My other recommendation would be the O’Neill Sector. I have one in a 5mm and 7mm - the best wetsuit you will EVER purchase!!! So so so comfortable!!!

@@BlackMantaPhotography well, they actually redesigned the everflex wetsuit completely lately and according to what I've read about it, the part that used to rip a lot has been reinforced, so yeah, do try the new model when yours rip again. Already ordered it online, currently waiting for it too.

Hi I'm a recently PADI certified diver and looking for a good wetsuit and came across to know about this one. But unfortunately Scubapro products are not much available in my country (Sri Lanka). So If I'm about to buy a wetsuit from online how should choose the right size for me? My height is 175cm. Chest 38.5 in and Waist is 36in. Please advice me. Thanks in advanced.

how to choose between definition 3mm and Everflex 3/2mm??
and, would the inner layer of Everflex get molded easily?
    thank you

That's a really tricky one, but with any wetsuit, I would always try first for a good fit. Personally, I'd lean toward the Everflex as I find they have a little more maneuverability. And providing you rinse the wetsuit after using and hang it up to dry thoroughly, including the inside, and store in a dry dark place you won't have any issues with mold.

@@BlackMantaPhotography I fitted in both Everflex and definition ytd. For the Everflex, I couldn't zip myself. I think the the glide skin stuck in between the zipper. I found XS fits me better, I did try S too, so it wasn't because of the size. Is there any way to do it without getting the glide skin stuck?? cuz I found that the Everflex is actually more cozy than the definition, in terms of moving around. So, I would love to go for Everflex if I could figure how to zip it🙈🙈. Thank you~

@@cyruslaw3745 I had the same issue with an older version of the Everflex until I put it on a couple times. It helped arching my back.
