It was an emotional roller coaster because as i was formatting the disc, it was taking its tme. Then I clicked on the window and it started saying "Not Responding". I decided to wait it outand then I hear my custom buzzer sound go off. It said "DFidnt format successfully" but I formatted it like a normal USB Drive after and then continued the process there. Then everything went swimmingly. Now im back on the PS3's XMB and can play my discs again. DEFINITELY Recommending this video. 100%

@NaBiL Moumen i fixed the problem and i found a way to do it without formatting the hard drive and without the sata cable but you need an extra hard drive just for a few minutes (40Gb hard drive will do just fine) 1- replace your ps3's hard drive with another one 2- put an OFW on your USB (if your ps3 was jailbrocken you can use CFW as you said above) 03:45 3- turn on the ps3 and it will ask you to format the hard drive as shown in the vid 05:00 4- after the format is compleat it waill ask you to update in here you must replace the hard drive with the old one you had 5- after that you just finish updating and everything is back as it was
