Oh my goodness. I wish this video had been made earlier than it was. It would have saved me a lot of grief. This video was everything that so many instructional videos of this type lack. Detailed steps from start to finish, good lighting, good camera work and someone that actually knows what they were doing. Absolutely excellent in every way. I had installed my fog lights almost 2 years ago, but didn't complete the wiring as I just wanted the lights installed first and foremost. What held me up for so long, when I decided to finish the wiring, was trying to find a video showing how I could get through the firewall. I knew there was a way to run it, but would have had to take the fuse block off to find it. I didn't want to attempt that as I couldn't ever find a good video like this one showing how to do it. So from time to time, I'd try to find another way to run the single wire through the firewall. I'd get started, get frustrated and stop. That's where I could have really used this video long ago. Just today, I finally was able to run the single wire through the firewall by way of where the hood release cable goes through. With that finally out of the way, I wanted to hook the power cable up to the ignition, so I wouldn't have to worry about forgetting to turn the fog lights off. I did a search here on UA-cam, and this is the first video I watched. So glad I did, as it showed me the exact fuse to hook it up, and more to finish my installation. It also showed me where I could ground the wire in the cab, and even where I could mount the switch. Also showed where I could hook up the power and ground wires under the hood. Thank you so much for making such an excellent video! I can finally use my fog lights.
I'm confused by the white wire removal/ repinning... was it from the button side or the harness side? How did you get the rest of the connector inside there??
