I would have greased it before beating it back on with a 2x4
Absolutely right!
What size/length were the screws attaching the bottom boot? (screws are missing in my '97). Big thanks.
I am sorry but I do not know. Mine had the screws already. If I find something on Google I will post it here. Thanks for watching!
Sorry that comments were disables for the first 12 hrs. UA-cam decided to do something dumb again. They make you pick (Is this video made for kids?). My videos are made for everyone(Family Friendly). Well, Now when you pick (Yes made for kids.) They auto disable comments on every single video I have! UUUGGGHHH! So now I have to set my channel to (Not made for Kids). Sorry for any confusion UA-cam has caused you and me!
Where did you get that shifter knob?
Amazon. Thanks
question im getting ready to swap out this whole assy but im getting mixed info online i have 97 ax15 and while searching online some come up with the shaft thats has a offset like yours while others come up with a straight shaft would you know which would the correct shaft for a 97 ax15???
All I know for sure is mine is an ax5. That may be the difference since you have the ax15 for a six cylinder.
I need upper boot for cherokee xj 1999
Did the same replacement on mine and it kicks it out of second and fourth. I watched and mine went in the same way as yours. Just curious did you have this problem? Does it just need to be broken in?
Mine didn't have to be broken in. But my shifter is probably at a different angle than yours. I had to remove 3" of it and reweld after I removed the 3" body lift. I know I probably didn't get it at the perfect factory angle. The problem you have is common and should loosen up in a short while. Thanks
Force Built I drove it around a good amount this weekend and it does seem to be getting better! Thanks for posting video! It was super helpful :)
