  • Very few means of motorized transportation deserve the title "iconic". Vespa is one such brand. Vespa had the foresight to maintain its ties to the machine that first caught the world's attention. For example, the 2023 Vespa GTS 300 has an instantly recognizable profile as the heir to the Italian name.
    For the 2023 model year, the focus is on refinement with a bit of technology adding to the flavour, with four years being a long time between updates. This time we will look at several choices of comfort and safety features along with some interesting technologies that have been added to the Vespa GTS 2023.
    The biggest news for the GTS line is changes to the brakes and suspension. Braking is important even on scooters, in 2023 Vespa switches to Brembo for the GTS system. At the front, the Brembo master cylinder feeds dual-piston Nissin calipers to suppress the 220mm disc, while the left lever also uses the Brembo master cylinder to massage the single-piston ByBre calipers on the 220mm disc at the rear.
    The body of the new GTS family is still made of steel and is paired with a completely new front suspension. Retaining the traditional single-arm layout, the system has been redesigned in terms of functionality for greater stability, especially at high speeds, and for improved comfort and handling, thanks to a new suspension calibration.
    The Vespa GTS features a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled 300cc high performance engine (HPE) offering a claimed 23.8 hp at 8,250 rpm. the CVT engages well once you start but like most scooters there's a bit of a lag between the initial turn of the throttle and the power that really hits land.
    wheels and low center of gravity fit the bill. With a chassis made of sheet steel and engine in rocker arms, the center of gravity is quite low, despite measuring 31.1 inches. But for the 2023 model year the handlebars were wider, apart from making the GTS easy to control, the riding position was also quite comfortable.
    All lighting is now LED, which allows turn signals to be restyled, but the distinctive bond between the two is still there. Another modern convenience, the fob, makes starting the GTS a keyless affair. Just press and turn the ignition switch, and you're good to go.
    The Vespa GTS SuperTech version will continue to offer the 4.3-inch TFT full-color display, but 3-inch analog LCD instrumentation makes its debut on all the other versions. Unfortunately, the TFT looks out of place on the dashboard when compared to the standard swept speedometer.
    The Vespa GTS range comes 14 different color schemes starting at $7,799 for the GTS, $7,999 for the GTS Super, $8,099 for the GTS SuperSport, and $8,499 for the GTS SuperTech. Appreciation of style and history may be a factor. Nonetheless, the Vespa GTS 300 2023 is a fun and vibrant ride that can be enjoyed anywhere.

    Next time please use a MY23 Vespa when you talk about it.. Almost every pic shown in the video was n o t a MY23 300HPE, some were not even a 300.. The breaks were aftermarket brembo brakes, some dampers were from Öhlins, which has nothing to do with a stock Vespa.. You didnt even mention the new suspension on the front with the new anti dive system fitted, which is the biggest advantage of the new GTS Model..
    So guys, please do your homework, and then try agin, try better!

    Terrible that many images used are OLDER models, not the 2023 newer version: lazy and imprecise composition and editing?
