Always nice to go fishing with you and your adorable family! Regarding the circle hooks, I have to open the gap of certain brands that don't allow enough space between the hook point and the shaft. Just a little tweek to open and/or offset it slightly can make a difference. Try the cut Bonita for the Mangroves. Even finicky snapper go for it. Step on 'em and they grow an inch! 😂

Y’all are great parents!!!! When I do a shrimp boil I get everything cooked and the water boiling, as soon as those shrimp hit the water I turn off the heat and let them sit for 5 minutes! Shrimp cook in no time and they do smoke in the skillet!!!

FL has pot, lottery, and 10-inch Mangrove rules. Ahhh, Alabama… We let the Mangroves grow, here, so they can swim to FL and get caught! But we did have Jimmy Buffett! We win overall!!
How long does it take for those mangrove snappers to grow an extra 2" over there in Bama? Do you happen to know why there's such a difference between the 2 state's laws? On another video (not sure of whose), it wasn't too far from either of us (Alabama/Florida), they had a drone shot of schools that literally looked like they numbered in the millions, and that was just in one area! Do they have them listed as needing to be that long over there because they're becoming too less of a species? Seems a little hard to believe, unless it's something else that you know of. Why don't you just take that fish that Courtney just caught, stick it in a live well for a few hours and feed it, maybe it'll grow to keeper size by the time you leave!😂 (Unfortunately, although, that might be illegal 🙄). If that was the case, you could have a contest between you all to see what the smallest fish is you could catch on a day trip. Wouldn't be able to keep them, but looks like it might be something you might want to give a try on an otherwise frustrating excursion.😂. CONGRATS on the finally keeper sized mangrove as skinny as it was! That would be a giant in Florida. Nice flounder as well. Wanted to say I loved taking my daughter out fishing at around the age yours is, even more so than with my two boys. I think it was because she was just so much more excitable. Your daughter is so cute! Overall, awesome family experience so glad you shared it with us. The meal looked delectable! Im going to assume the butter is what smoked up the kitchen with the shrimp, it has a very low smoke point compared to traditional frying oils or pork/beef fat. Also (and im going by rope here so it may not be 100%) but China is called that because the material and technique was discovered/invented in China; in fact, the was a period in history where Europe was more technologically advanced than China, because Europe had figured out how to work with glass, so they had windows and bifocals and the like, where china (the country) had no need to pursue glass work because they had china (the material) for cups, bowls, plates etc
