Sew Along 2021 Quilt as you Go Part 8 - Final Part, with GourmetQuilter - Quilting Tips & Techniques

Sew along with me as I make blocks for a 60" square quilt - Part 8, final part, making Block 7.
Red and green for Christmas, or blues or scrappy leftovers - so many choices! When we have some blocks made we can use a Quilt as you Go method to put them together.
This week we make Block 7, the final block.
In Part 4 we looked at quilting the blocks and starting to put them together, already quilted, a form of Quilt as you Go.
There are 2 each of 6 different blocks as well as an alternating block which forms a delicious chain with stars.
The blocks measure 12 1/2" square. The quilt measures 60" square.
The Sew Along will go for 8 weeks.

It's been so much fun to watch you do this - all three are beautiful. I would love to see the blue one finished as that is the one I want to do (couldn't do it every week as stuff came up that I had to do). The sew along is so helpful as you guide us carefully through every step. It's so expensive to keep using the longarm quilter so this QAYG method is far more preferable. Hopefully we will see you do more quilt along videos. Thanks Susan

Thank you for all the work you put into this sew along. I’ve yet to start as I needed to get some other projects completed but hope to start this by the end of next week. I was recently gifted a beautiful jelly roll of batiks in blues, greys and a hint of olive green and think it will look fabulous made up using this pattern. I was very happy to shout you a cup of coffee however, may I suggest you also allow people to choose if they’d like to shout you a standard coffee for US$5 or a large for US$6.50.
