Lobo is one character I wish would make his way onto the big screen. This is a pretty fine looking figure even the hair works with those blue highlights.
I'm glad it's turned out good. I'm going to be doing some customizing on it when I get mine. With just a bit of wash and dry brush, plus a bit of detailing, McFarlane figures can be made to look almost like high-end imports.
Saw a dude in the fb group "McFarlane Toys, Action Figure Collectors and Fan Group" who did a sick custom paint. Added a little blood around the bullet holes in his shirt and made the leg armor pieces shinier and added some other subtle color changes. Looks frickin amazing. Another dude took hair off a WWF figure and put it on Lobo, making him look 10x better too, and made a cigar
Great review! I am loving this Lobo! The articulation and range of movement is superb compared to previous releases, while the quality of the sculpt and paint application is stellar. This is hopefully a sign of things to come! Bravo Mcfarlane!

I'm fairly sure they stopped using actual art for the back of the package because often times it never matched the figure itself and there were quite a lot of people bringing this up and unsatisfied with the misrepresentation.
I like everything from the neck down a lot. Still hoping for a more Simon Bisley style head and hairdo with that big Schwarzenegger/Ron Perlman type jaw and the rocked mullet. I'd love it if he could come with a stogie in his mouth too but blah blah blah the world. I bet he'll look cool on that Death Metal Bat Cycle!

As unbelievably cool and executed well as this figure looks especially for Mcfarlane, the DCUC is still the goat aesthetically for me. Anyway, Great review now I’m gonna pick him up!
I was glad to see you point out the versatility of the wrist and ankle ball joints, Robo. It's an aspect of the articulation that is offer overlooked in this line. I'll be interested if you do more of these to hear your thoughts on the accessory material being used. The softness of the material is very disappointing. I love good looking and reusable weapons with my figures. McFarlane still makes good looking ones but many are so soft as to be almost unusable out of the box.
Needs more space dolphins. Looks good. at least better than some more recent offerings/ (notes box back.) btw, the arms pop off, but is the jacket removable?? I never saw any of the CnC version, as SHAZAM was clogging pegs up here. I really wanted most of that (and Titans wave that got stuck with anime Batman) wave, too. :( and now I want to set him up with a couple Bray Fiends as his lackeys. LOL (already sussing out possible WWE fodder to make my own if I can't find this one, as Demon, K.Shazam, and DM WW are NOT selling, here, which is the first McF DC we've seen in these parts in about a year.) when nu52 Lobo was introduced, he was literally laughed into being retconned into a poser (/clone?) using Lobo's name. Even earned the nickname Twink Lobo, as they went back to his first Omega Men appearance of a scrawny dude, but at least they didn't give him back the orange and purple(?) onesie. The Main Man caught up to him and...it wasn't pretty.
Storm's Lobo is easily the best Lobo pretty much ever - scale is the only issue with him, but he fits with 7 inchers and really isn't much bigger than the old SDCC exclusive.
Actually there is one time they tried doing a drastic change to Lobo, and that was scrawny emo New 52 Lobo. Nobody liked him, and I believe they had real Lobo show up and kill him.
You sorta have that reversed. The new52 Lobo showed up and killed the real Lobo....but he got better. They actually shrunk New52 Lobo and put him into a jar(I think a Brainiac clone did it) and just him there to be forgotten. New52 Lobo though wasn't really scrawny and emo. While not Real Lobo's size, he's was still a pretty big dude if you consider new52 Superman a big guy. Though he was shorter then Superman. Personality wise, he was less crude then the 90's inspired Lobo but he certainly wasn't emo. I think the first bits of concept art made him look like "softer" then he really was drawn in most books. They could have give him the Green Arrow treatment and had him transform into the real Lobo but I assume the comic just wasn''t successful enough to bother.
Augh just one gun….just one gun would have worked for him but we get none….also wonder is there a way to fix that arm issue ? Like maybe something to Make the peg tighter?
Awesome review Robo! It is not a bad figure but the Storm Collectible version is way better. Unfair comparison? maybe; but if you are a Lobo fan then you need to get the Storm Collectible version.
Mcfarlane needs to address a few issues with the bodies. What's sticking out right now is the hair. It seems like they keep designing the hair like they just took off a hat. I know Mcfarlane can do wild and free hair. They did it for the Drowned.
I also expect an extra long Fwoosh Weekly with Veebs as special guest, I'm sure with the both of you yal can make it at least an hour to an hour and a half
Robo don't know Lobo, because he's kind of a shape-shifter (at least that's my excuse for the varying sizes of his figs). 😂 Too bad I don't like how DC figs are made, otherwise I'd probably have as many as I do Marvel Legends (which are mostly X-Men).
I mostly collect McFarland for customs and Frankensteining figures, outside having a few JLA members its figures and characters like this I really enjoy from him and this will likely be one of his bestsellers, cool review ROBO thanks
I know it's not a fair comparison, because of the price difference, but after getting the Storm Collectibles Lobo, this just doesn't do it for me. That SC Lobo is just so fragging awesome!

My Lobo arrived w a squished face. Used the hot water method and fixed it up pretty good but it's still slightlyyy off
