    I state that the diode we're using is the Laser Master 2 Pro, but it's actually the Ortur Aufero Laser 1, there's a link in the description :P

      I was looking for exact THAT info since I want to dial in my iKier K1 Ultra settings for engraving. It has 33-36W laser beam power (160W electrical) so I want to try to adjust your settings to its speeds and power. Thank you for that info! I guess I just linear adjust your settings to mine like 12x the speed and 12x the power or so.

    Thank you so much for this great info. I had just started with a Fiber and was frustrated that my photos where not coming out. Both part 1 & 2 were amazing and helped me dial in the settings

    Good to see (in the video) all the work you guys put into making something "work" and not just come onto the video and badda-bing-badda-boom...it works the first time like so many other videos from other U-toobers. You're trying to explain the changes you're making when things don't go as expected and it helps us a lot. Good job. Keep up the good work!

    Yet another great educational video series. Thank you Alex, and Kyle, for this very informative work. I truly enjoyed these videos, as I have all of your videos that I have watched. For anyone who is working with lasers, I highly recomennded jumping into the Laser Masters Accademy. Value beyond your imagination and the opportunity to meet and share ideas and information with some wonderful people.

    Very informative video, thank you. After watching I rushed out and got a microscope to start analyzing my burns. I have a K40 Co2 that I upgraded to a 50W tube and using your method, I worked out my line interval to be nearly 0.3mm (nearly what Kyle used) but my image lost all its details and came out quite pixelated.

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  Рік тому

      When you have a dot size so large you need a large area to mark with this method otherwise yes you'll notice pixelation. A lot of engravers will hack around with contrast and edges to give the illusion of higher detailed images in small areas on co2 lasers. You could also look at compound lenses which supposedly help. Also feel free to join our facebook group or discord server for advanced support and we'll take a look, links in the description.

    I’ve been doing photos using the greyscale option in Lightburn instead of Jarvis and I feel like the image is a lot smoother and doesn’t show that dither pattern? Was that something added later and that’s why these videos don’t cover it?

    nice video sir . i have question i have 50wats max fibra laser marking machine but company provide smart studio software . i don't want that software. i want EZCAD 2 software . we want to change any laser control card to installed EZCAD2 software

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  2 роки тому

      What laser control card do you have currently? It could be as simple as swapping out the drivers for the normal ez2 or ez3 drivers if you have a jcz controller. if you don't have a jcz controller check out my ez3 to ez2 downgrade video. It's not exactly what you're looking for but we talk a lot about swapping cards and it could provide you with the information you need to swap controllers.

    Thanks for the videos, very very informative and useful. Especially I am such a beginner and rushed into buying 2 machines.
    1 C02 laser (Wainlux Laser EngraverJL3 40w ) - I haven't really used it, I find it quite difficult and I want to engrave on stainless steel, which this machine doesn't
    1 Fiber laser (MR Carve M1) - I like this one so much, but unfortunately, it has its own software, SeaCAD.
    Do you by any chance have any tutorials on SeaCAD?
    I am trying to engrave portraits on stainless steel military tags, and it works, but the quality is so bad and shines differently depending on the light...I was hoping you've made some videos which I haven't found yet. THank you!

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  2 роки тому

      I don't currently have any SeaCAD specific tutorials but SeaCAD and Ezcad 2 are virtually identical in a lot of ways. I would start with our Ezcad 2 crash course and see if that can get you pointed in the right direction and get your machine tuned in a bit: ua-cam.com/play/PLoBR3k35202YA629ri6CXhjCmL1E5-ARz.html

    Incredible amount of information. Thank you for that. I am having a hard time getting photos to come out on Black Granite. Do you have tips using 90watt co2?
    Is there a reason why all the settings would change going from one size to another? ( engraving the picture small then enlarging it will throw everything off?)
    Thanks in advance.
    Robert

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  Рік тому

      It may depend on the size and quality of the photo, if perhaps you are expanding it beyond its original DPI it may have trouble scaling up beyond that. Another reason is the laser dot has a physical size, (based on the laser and source type, any beam expanders, and lenses the beam passes through - so naturally some lasers will be capable of a smaller dot for higher resolution at smaller physical sizes) so if you are making the engrave cover a smaller area, it can only physically fit so many dots in a given area to provide resolution for the image. If the dot has a large size, and you squish the dimensions of the image down, it may be reducing the dot value so low you might not be able to identify it and lose too many details.

    • @LaserEverything

      Diode if you're on a budget, CO2 if you're trying to start a business - though they both have qualities that make them both worthy of use in a professional environment.

    Thank for for taking so much time to put together & share this informative series. (100+ hours!?!? D@mn bro, seriously, thank you!) One quick question regarding the positive & negative versions of the Firewatch image on brass. I noticed in the positive image the gamma was set to 1.9, and in the negative image it was "dropped" to 3.08. In both cases, it looked like the number was being increased. Does photoshop show a minus (-) sign for the number when it's dropping? Feel like I'm missing something because it looks to me like in both cases that number was increased. Also, thank you for all that you do for the LMA community. Proud member checking in!

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  Рік тому

      Settings for photos and settings for vectors have different parameters and requirements so they are stored separately in LightBurn. Write the vector settings you want to use down, then copy them into a fresh parameter and save while you have a raster image selected and it will save it as a raster param instead.
