- This Super Beetle came back to me for a complete build, its full of parts, but what is in there? I guess we'll see!
It formerly with some rust damage from the de4th foam in the rear. Now that the rust has been removed, we're going to panel bond in the patches. It turned out quit well... VERY STRONG! Now the car is back for a complete build/assembly!

Not all Super Beetles have curved windshields! ▶ ua-cam.com/video/aobVQonmpbE/v-deo.html
Hi Duckman looking forward to this build hope you have good weather along the way. Can you give me the part # for the wire harness, I have a 74 Super need to rewire. Thanks. Love the channel.
Thanks so much man! I don;t know the part number for your harness, I'd have to look it up same as you. But there are dealers that specialize in nothing but wiring harnesses for VW Beetles, just give them your year and model, and they'll steer you in the right direction! Hope that helps! I don't even know if this harness is the correct one, but I'm the Duckman, anything will work!
That's going to be a good size job. Lots of good content in our future. Makes me wonder if someone would be better off finding a super beetle already together. Good for you though. I will be watching contently. 🦆👍
Its a lot of work indeed, but nothing the Duckman can't accomplish! Hehe! Thanks man! 😁👍🦆💩
Hi Duckman, That bug is going to keep you out busy for a while. Be good to follow how you progress.
I think so! Thanks man! More updates on this one this weekend!
Plenty of parts to get under way. Onward.......
Yes sir! Looking that way! Should be about 95% of it, I'd say!
Looks like you'll be spending AT LEAST 15 minutes on that thing!!
Yep, out of every 10 mins I schedule for it... LoL!
@@DuckmanCycles not a thing. Stupid beeeetle
FACT! LoL!
@@DuckmanCycles you ever do a 70s. THING??🙂🙂🙂
Disc brakes on superbeetles????
It's like a 1:1 scale model kit. Just need a lot of glue
Lol that's exactly what it is. Glue in the next video!
I knew I was missing a screwdriver!! Glad you found it!!🤣🤣🤣.
@@Vochowagens hahahahaha YES! I was actually working next to this car the other day and needed one, and I remembered that one was in there. Came in handy! LoLz!
Hey Lord Glenn, I'm ordering some stuff from the Hipa store and was wondering if you still had a discount code. If you do I'd appreciate it if not it's no big deal. Regardless, I still enjoy watching your videos, thanks.
Kinda the wrong place to ask, no small engines here. The clickable links to discount codes and such are on my HIPA-sponsored videos! Check out any of them, and have a look in the video description. Click the first HIPA link you see and you're off and running. I hope that gets you what you need! Thanks so much for joining us!
Hey, Glenn? Didn't you just work on one just like that in 2023? It kind'a looks like the same one. You assembled the other one too. That looks like sweet project. Look at all those goodies!
Very similar car, yep.... mostly same situation! This one is more work though!
I love 73-74 super beetles. I know you don’t like them.
That's awesome, and I am not fond of them, lol... but never said I didn't like them. 😀
Sometimes UA-cam wont send me notices of channel videos. ? I m shartne the banned me from commenting for 24 hours this is my other channel. Sometimes I commnent what I think. I have already watched the whole series on the bug. It came up on my stop sensoring my free speedh channel.
Oh man, you musta said some hateful stuff.... or at least something t make the libs cry... LoL! The series on this car is far from completed, so you've yet to see it all! More to come on this one!
I see a lot of new electric stuff. How much is too much mod? I know the purists will say any mod is to much. I want to know what The Lord Duckman has to say.
Well, it depends on what your goal is. In my case, Eleanore is a special exception, the mods are heavy, but the goal is to make as much appear as factory-original or at least period-correct. Ruby can get anything I have the budget or motivation to put on her, but that 23 window Bus that was here.... I'd leave that unchanged!
Yep welded up the hook on my 74 super beetle...got the body back on the floor pan yesterday...wiring now. Waiting on balljoint boots..then be movable again...
Awesome! That's big progress! Congrats so far!
@DuckmanCycles
I'm getting there..slowly but surely...😎👍👋
All kinds of goodies!!! A remote starter kit 🤷♂️😁
Yeah how about that? A remote "let-my-Beetle-take-off-and-escape-kit" LoL!
@@DuckmanCycles Could you knock up some sort of microswitch so it only works in neutral?
Actually... better than that, if there is a "fasten safetly belt light" on the dashboard, it utilizes a switch that works off the shifter hockeystick in the transmission. If the car is in ANY gear, that light comes on (if the seatbelt isn't latched, too) But the switch could be re-purposed. Here's the gotcha... its not always 100% accurate, especially if the hockey stick is worn out or beaten up... but that's how I'd do it!
Yep, Welded the hook on the Veep. Will be a very good series. Looking forward to it.
Cool, no welding or Veeps here though, lol... I think that must be someone else.
i am looking forward towards the videos in this build
Thanks man, next one should be this Saturday!
Looks like it's gonna be a fun build Glenn with Two N's lol
Thanks! And thats me! Two or MORE N's!!!!!!!!!
cool, will be watching this series for sure. being an old time chevy guy been looking for a vintage Corvair to work on someday. There is a couple of complete engines for sale lately but not the turbo version. Don't think I'll ever see one of those someone is trying to get rid of even if it's lock up. Corvair's got a bum rap when Ford didn't like air-cooled vehicles.
Hello duckMan Do you have any videos or could you talk about the regular brake push rod? How it regulates itself, what regulation it has. I've had a lot of problems in the past, my brakes would lock up when I was driving. Thank you
It might be worthy of a short video. But it should be one specific length for your vehicle... AND NEVER MESSED WITH. Then adjust the pedals per spec. It doesn't regulate much of anything, but if its too long (or your pedals are adjusted improperly) your brakes won't release as they should, it needs to be just short enough that it just doesn't touch the master cylinder when the pedal is in the fully up position.... this is reflected in the pedal freeplay.
@@DuckmanCycles Thanks for the feedback
You got it, man! Still, its a great idea for a video short!
Well that project will keep you out of trouble for a while 👍
LoL! It'll probably keep me in trouble haha!
Great job Duckman.
Thank you sir! Cutting this car up now for a removable rear apron!
Wow; that’s quite a feat; putting back together a car in boxes 😉
I've done it a number of times over the years.... ever did one last summer, too! It took quite a while to get that mess sorted... this one is even further disassembled!
@@DuckmanCycles You’ll make it right and get it back on the road properly.
Thank you for the confidence in me! Comments like that are few and far between these days! I really appreciate it! 😁👍🦆💩
@@DuckmanCycles I’ve seen you in action, my good sir! Also you educate VW owners as to which parts to use to make their cars perform better and live longer as the factory intended. That is a great thing you are doing.
Thanks for the recognition, man! I thank you huge!
Thanks my friend
Thanks for joining us!
Well, you got some work to do.
Yeah, about a good 10-15 mins should get it, I'd think! 😁👍🦆💩
@@DuckmanCycles only if you take your time and enjoy a few blue cup fulls.
Well in that case, nothing is ever gonna get done LoLoLoL!
I do like a bug unboxing.
LoL! That's a good description of this, I should re-title the video and give you credit! Haha!
💙👊😎
😁👍🦆💩
nice job.
Much appreciated, Jim! Thanks again!
Nice
Thanks! 😁👍🦆💩
How's Bee and her Ghia getting along?
She's fine I guess, but I dunno about the Ghia, its in her garage in her driveway. She's a woman, she will do as she pleases.... lol. I talked to her today about another Ghia that just arrived here (check it out today in my new UA-cam shorts) But this comment is considered off-topic and de--rails the subject of this video, might have been better as a private email or something. Thanks though! Hope that helps answer!
