Well it famous but I l took really only that part from layout. I just liked the fact turn around was different from all the others. It will change a bit when I get some more track. But yea I figured most people would catch on to it. However funny note most catch on to that one idea so people must like that . But don't see too often in layout plans
Thank you Dafingers1 I hope you are right. I do feel a little fire again. RAHUL inspired me to go for what I wanted . I love slot cars but can add all the things I wanted in my layout. Bring joy to me and hopefully more.
I kind of have the same idea where I want to integrate a train into my slot car layout. At one end I would like to have a waterfall, and then a river that runs down to a small lake and maybe have the train turn on the inside of the lake and the slot car track on the outside of the lake. I just need the room to be able to do it, and get more train track.
I will be adding alot along back wall to get more chrisas mountain look and yes water fall and iced over lake. But takes time . Right now just one train on layout .
Well you can find inspiration from just about anything. I just liked the fact loops of track didn't all go same directions. I have few more changes but need more track. Implement as I go ha ha
Yes it would be twice as much track that I have now . That alot more expense but honesty looking at that layout it was well balanced lanes from what I see 👀 other than being analog . Put alot lane changers in there and wow you'd have a hell of a track
Looking forward to watching your track/scenery evolve Eric. Take your time and don’t forget to have fun with it once in a while! YT content is not a priority and should be secondary to the hobby - after all it’s the racing, tinkering and creation that brought us all into the world of slot cars in the first place…. Don’t ever feel like you’re falling behind with keeping the world informed on your progress with videos. Do what makes you happy and sneak us a peak once in a while, it’s all about balance 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you I appreciate you saying that Alex I am trying to slow down and really put the fun and work into this layout. No set time to have done it will progress but while I'm still running some cars and sharing from time to time . Excited about my new adventure.
I love your thought process on the track, I've found many of the same items you mention as my track has evolved over 4 years - eliminate 1/60 curves, build in straights to go fast, have an overpass to make the lanes equal when racing analog. Completely agree about combining your passions - myself I use Lego for scenery - cars, automotive garage, Lego minifigures in grandstands. And thanks for your openness - I relate to the anxiety and finding therapeutic outlets, the slot car community is wonderful.
I'm still working on getting rid of all but 1 1/60 curve. Gotta have a dead man's curve right? Community in slot cars is amazing , all the support and ideas each of us bring helps bring your vision to light. Love to see your layout.
Wildman, You’re an over thinker like me, but sometimes the sleep you lose turns into wonderful ideas. That’s when the OCD kicks in and compels you to finish those ideas at the cost of everything else going on. Once I get started on the project, I can’t stop until it’s finished. Of course, that is coupled with my world class procrastination on most things. Here, it’s giving you a very nicely flowing track. I think it’s gonna look really killer when you finish your Christmas themed layout and over the top when you add your train in as well. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Sounds like we are brothers 😆 yes woke up 1 am and went down trying some mock up ideas . I feel I found my groove. But need to practice patience another quality I do not have🤣🤣🤣😶

Wildman, don't forget NSR makes replacement part kits and they are fairly inexpensive.
