I attempted to do this last year around this time! I worked at a local grocery store and wanted to get out of it. so I got a full time job at a call center. I hated it and only was there for 2 months. Luckily I was able to go back to my other job full time at the grocery store. I hope everything works out better for you then it did me.

I was wondering, where do you live that you found such a trans friendly place to work...not your address of course, but maybe state and general location. Seatle Washington is listed as the most friendly gay city in the US. I'd like to see a list for trans people.

Buzz his po box adress is Jamaica plain, boston, so i would assume somewhere in that vicinity
i live in Jamaica plain, which is in Boston, MA. we have laws for the public protection of trans people (although they are constantly being challenged.) i've seen job postings that list they don't discriminate against "sex, gender, disability, etc" but i specifically seek those who list "gender identity, gender expression" as well. i'd love to see a list for trans people as well on friendly cities - Boston, MA has a gigantic queer community, but i can't speak to the statistics of homelessness, harassment, etc on a general street by street basis. however, in Portland, ME they have a BUNCH of trans folk too, and a rollicking support center. it's hard to tell!

so you only make 13$ an hour? how do u survive on that? u should work for me, im in boston area and i pay my guys 20$ an hour, but its physical labor, but i pay more for people who can handle management responsibilities
