Use extra operators if your own doesnt have enough damage or healing.
Adjust the strategies a little bit for yourself to suit your own team comp better.

After missing a few important steps at the end then finally doing it right I can tell myself, "Really really simple."
5:29 kyo mentioned skalter need at least 1650 hp to survive the boss drone
Anyone that's following this guide will need to use honeyberry (mulberry not possible) to buff skalter hp to that value, since maxed skalter only have 1.6k hp
Edit1: for more context, honeyberry's talent buffs range operator hp within her range so it brings skalter above the 1650 hp
you also dont need max lvl honeyberry for this
More precisely, you need Lv 84 Skalter + E1 Honeyberry or Lv 68 Skalter + E2 Honeyberry
@@charginginprogresssFor some reason for me E2 Honey and even lvl80 Skalter didn't work out. So I had to level her to the max.

my Skalter still alive even with Mullberry. Nightingale module also work I think
My skalter's hp was a bit too low. deployed shamare early to get a morty doll, then used that once phase 2 started (between mylnar and hoshi) to keep skalter from being one shot, then can retreat shamare for the surtr part.

People who are having trouble keeping Skalter alive
Swap Skalter placement with Nightale (In my case Ptilopsis) and place Nightale in the top middle title facing down and use her skill with skalter seaborn if you feel it's needed.
That way Skalter lives when the boss uses her global attack (Tho Mlynar might die at the end due to the elites enemies, bring another Dps like Suturt just in case that happens)
You can also use medic-Reed instead of Skalter
If Mountain dies unexpectedly, remember that you still have Noir!!!
If your wandering medic/Nightingale aren't up to scratch (mine was e2 level 50 no mastery Honeyberry and E2 70 no mastery Nightingale) your Mountain may end up dying (mine did) near the end, I found it most valuable to use the 13th slot on a filler unit to replace him when he dies (Radiant, Skadi S2, Glaadia, Specalter, Sideroca, etc). This can be the case for your Saria as well, basically a body who can hold the boss for a little bit and chip in on damage in the last 10-20% in case you have a blocker die.
cool strat kyo! after finished the the stage by myself after 4 hour I came to see how easy it actully is to do the stage in the right way, thanks to you about the boss mechanic in boss stage video I mange to cleared it somehow.
Thanks for the guide when I decided to give up figuring out where to stall the boss for killing.
Skalter kept getting shredded due to insufficient HP, so brought in Ptilopsis to clutch heal on her final second of S2 with Seaborn extra heals, allowing Skalter to live on.
Rest in peace for any account who don't have Mylnar for clearing chapter 12. Good luck with stalling the boss while killing it😂

My Skalter and Honeyberry just instantly die around 6:46. No idea what could be different. Skalter has over 1700 HP when deployed.

My skalter has that much HP but still dies, however I kept going with the instruction without her and still cleared the stage! Thanks!

As I dont have Mlynar and Skalter, i have to borrow Mlynar and use Shining S3M3 to replace Skalter;
Honeyberry on Skalter position.
Shining on Honeyberry position.
Once Kyo activated Nightingale S3M3, activate Shining S3M3 as well, everyone can survive.
So E1 max Quartz actually works decently well if you don’t have Mountain, you just have to deploy Noir Corne closer to the exit to block the civilians since she costs more DP. I managed to get pretty close to the end of the stage before I forgot to drop in Surtr and my defenders got fucked over… So bringing Nian in as both backup and to buff my defenders a bit.
I'll wait for Kernell locating banner cause i'm tired of not having Saria.
Also,dont worry if skalter die during drone, she already finished her job at that point
the skadi alt support unit i had couldnt survive anything so i replaced her with my shining with third skill and no one died
Information like how much HP Skadi TCH needs to survive would be really helpful *before* starting the game.
I replaced a few ops and they works perfectly but its not afk anymore
Hoshiguma -> Heavyrain E2S1M3 Mod1
Skalter -> Sora lv50 S2M3 spam skill
Noir Corne -> Friston because its cheaper lol
Added Shamare but i had to spam the doll everytime mlynar used skill and when the boss enter phase 2
I replace
Noir: Friston-3
Berry: Eyjalter
Skalter: Virtuosa
+Typhon for mob killing...

I was missing Mountain, Mlynar AND Skalter so this was alot harder for me. I borrowed Mlynar, I substituted Skalter with Whisperain and swapped her place with Honeyberry (so Whisperain is on the left, Honeyberry is on the right) and Mountain with Irene and brought Flametail as the Vanguard we use to block the civillians in the begining so I can put her down again when Irene dies to block the boss.
Whisperain with her fast attack speed and hp regen when healing targets with status resist talent was enough to keep both Nightingale and Honeyberry alive long enough. They all die at the very end but they stay alive long enough that when they die youre already bursting the boss for the last time.
Irene was able to deal with both the mages coming from left side and the drones boss summons with her S3. Flametail S3 was enough to give her the damage she needs to cut the mages and the dodge she needs to stay alive long enough till the end of the stage. Since she also dodges the attacks applying the Corrosion Damage, her Corrosion Bar fills slower.
For those without Skalter, you can use Kal at the top for Monster to body block that 1 Elite long enough for Mylnar to kill them and some DPS here and there. Another defender to replace a top left defender to refresh the Def (I used Matterhorn with Module cause it is cheap and has high resistance for the caster and then replace him with Gummy). And NTR to kill the Boss even faster, Lvl60 Mylnar was not fast enough to kill the Boss before everything explodes so use NTR at S2 for that little bit of damage. It took 2 hours to get the timing right and everyone is near death but the level is cleared.
It took like 6 months of me happily clearing all new stuff by myself, but I had to finally give up with this one and come back to your video to get my ass carried, fucking christ this boss is miserable.
In case this info can be relevant to anyone, my lvl 60 Croissant and Blemishine replaced Hoshiguma and Saria just fine. My lvl 60 Skalter and lvl 50 Honeyberry sadly get nuked by the second drone barrage, but lvl 60 Ptilo managed to survive and keep Mlynar alive to finish the job just in time.
Now... yeah, let's hope there is also a video for H12-4 where I can replace the operators in case I'm missing one (like it was Mlynar in this video).
Tips for you if your skalter " already max lavel (69) " just like me, you can use Spelter s1 to swap HP with skalter so your "already max level (69) skalter " not to die
If you have Shu S3M3, just use her instead of Saria. Nobody died (my Honeyberry is E2 with S2R7), worked like a charm. Thx
if ur skalter keep dying because you doesnt have honeyberry, just move skalter to honeyberry place and deploy ur wandering medic behind mlynar facing left. Ur wandering medic might be dead when the second explosion came but its not a big problem as long as ur skalter alive, or just in case u can bring another medic.
My skalter dies, but i just keep redoploying her, no problems doing so

Funny my Skalter kept on dying, because i use S2 M1, and she is only lvl 50, i just keep redoploying her & it works
My mountain is at lvl 69 S2 M2 and he died at the end, had to deploy Bagpipe to end the boss cuz Surtr couldn't finish him, he had around %1 HP left, My mudrock also died cuz she is stuck at s2 M1 and only lvl 73, deployed myrtle and she somehow managed to kill the last enemy >_>

- Ur dp cap needed to raise will depend on the cost of ur most expensive op doubled. Example, in my strat my most expensive op is surtr, so we need 44 as max dp.
- U need a durable sololane op to hold the backdoor lane, while on the main lanes, u want to have a lot of aoe dmg.
- Deploy Eyja on the left ranged tile of Hoshi and start Volcano when all 4 Absurdist elite tyrants grouped up.
- If ur backdoor lane operator is fragile vs boss (Mountain, muddy), retreat him after u killed 2 last Sarkaz dp gunner.
- Don't dream of using Ifrit here, there's no strategic strat enough to contain her 😂!
My Mlynar snuffs it just before the end, after which everything goes to hell in moments.
It’s a clutch win but I’ll take it!
Pro tip: be prepared to throw a lot of bodies if your ops keep dying.
Bruh i was worried about my skalter dying and she did die during those flying thingy part but i still cleared the stage nonetheless it didn't even matter if she was alive or not at 5:29 probably because i was using mulberry skill to survive.
my 90 Mlynar died after activated last skill and everyone just stand there look at the boss and then i deployed Mlyner again to one last swing 😂
Guide still worked even with e1 lv60 honeyberry and skadi alter dying
for some reason Max Pot Max Level eyjaberry doesnt do as good of a job as mid-level Honeyberry does
I am not sure if this will work with Mudrock but with Penance, placing skalter in place of Nightingale and Shining (I think any good enough medic will work) on the top worked without a hitch.
Note: Had to use seaborn between Hoshi and Mlynar when boss was reviving.
I don't have Mlynar and Mountain, so this'll be difficult for me.
There's way too little room for error and very little flexibility. I found a different guide using the AH squad as the main ops which was much easier.

Didn't have Honeyberry built and I saw a comment saying to place Skalter in the Wandering Medic's place. I used a max lvl S2M3 Mulberry and placed her behind Myłnar. She ended up dying because of those drones but luckily, I have a Shining S3M3 ready so I placed her where Mulberry was and immediately started her skill the moment it was ready. Surtr ended up surviving till the run ended 😂 Thank you for the strat Kyo ❤

Having to choose between mylnar or Skalter for the borrow is tough....good news is that I just got my own Mylnar so if I can build him quickly I should still be able to follow this (I say in tears as my Heidi continues to fail me.....maybe if I had Sora...)

@@faisrun3764 I have currently tried: Warfarin, Lumen, Silence, Ptilo and they all fail at the last stretch (probably isn't helping that I am trying to use Yato s3 as a Surtr replacement) so I'm starting to think that the increased stats Skalter gives does matter...but maybe I'm not thinking outside of the box enough

@@faisrun3764 honeyberry's talent usually boosts her so she survives....tho you do bring up a good point that even when I have my Mylnar built....without someone to use instead of Surtr things are going to be too tight. I was thinking SA but then I think he'd be too slow and I've already tried most of my strongest non-expensive casters. I could try some weird Gnosis stall but idk...

I solved the Skalter issue now I just need to figure out how to help mylnar survive the final phase of the boss, he keeps dying for some reason
How did you solve the Skalter issue btw?
For me just remove her before the phase 2 (be careful with Mudrock's hp though), and bring back after killing the second wave of drones
For me since I used my Module lvl 3 Perfumer (because i don't have Nightingale), I had no problem with Mudrock
Or like the other comment, use E2 Honeyberry
