Can't do the LETTING YOURSELF FEEL THE PAIN because it's a very busy time for me. I have no option of taking breaks. So I am forced to do all the stages of grief in one day. It sucks. But seeing other people experience the same thing somehow eases the anxiety of facing the unknown. You guys are doing so great! Sending all the love for people who are experiencing the same thing.
I broke up with my first bf about a week before the covid lockdown in 2020, so I couldn't use my usual daily habits to distract myself from my own grief, or go out and have fun with friends, but I was also in shock from the lockdown happening and... you know... the *everything* of 2020. I guess 2020 as a whole was a bigger distraction than I could ever have come up with myself, because I just... didn't let myself feel the pain or process that emotion until literally 2 years later. If you can, letting yourself feel the pain is so important!

As someone who is also struggling through a breakup, I can definitely second that feeling of wondering who to go to with your mundane accomplishments and shallow little rants. But you have to remember- one door closed is another open! Even though I lost one person, I ended up gaining so many amazing friends to surround myself with and help me through the rough bits. Remember it’ll get better! I believe in you to pull through Linh ❤️

It's been 3 months since my breakup. I still get sad even though the reasons weren't sad themselves. I let myself feel what I feel because if I don't it will just catch up with me and each day that goes by I'm grateful for what I had.

im also going through this too. its hard trying to go through other tasks like school and social gatherings and then the moment you’re alone the emotions arise again. im trying to learn to set boundaries for myself and to allow these emotions, its just so hard to deal with them. i grew up thinking if i was anything other than happy i wasnt doing my job, so i also have to learn to reprogram my brain. thank you linh for making me feel less alone, youre truly inspiring and i hope the best for your growth
In 2020 I went through a breakup after a two year relationship. It sucked! In the end I knew it would be what’s best for the both of us. 2 years later I’m in a reallt healthy relationship :) it takes time so heal and grow. Know that plans change and people change!! Wherever you end up is where you belong 💜

The thing that I have found is the hardest part to remember when breaking up wether it be friendship or relationship- it’s a break up but you shouldn’t let it break you. It can be hard but it’s what helping me get through life rn.
I appreciate how they are able to post content and that she is still able to give advice about their feelings. It’s nice to have a UA-camr that you respect be so open about their feelings. It kinda bridges the gap between internet and reality.

We share the same birthday and age, I've been watching your videos since I was 15. Idk how time and time again I'd watch your videos and your hairstyle would also be the same as mine, as well the glasses. I've watched you grow in these past years and I've grown too. It's surreal how you're also going through a breakup right now and so am I and these videos have became sort of comfort blanket for me. It's like I'm watching a friend go through the same things. The quote your mom said about how romantic feelings will eventually fizzle away and only the friendship stays really has hit my heart really badly. She isn't wrong and everything you've said is something I resonate with too. It sure gets lonely navigating the fully functional world with a broken heart but I do hope it gets better with time.

I 100% agree Linh! I also think it's good remind yourself that your partner isn't going to be your everything per say. IT's great to want your lover to be your rock, your best friend, your therapist for some, but I think that's super unrealistic (Not one person can fulfill all these roles ya know!!). Having the foundation of people who you can share your successes, failures, and tribulations with makes life way more enjoyable and memorable!! Hope your healing journey of singlehood goes well! Recently broke up with my partner and I feel this so hard. I wasn't happy in the relationship anymore but I gave up so much of myself for them that I just felt like a piece of myself went with it.
