Just a note to say, I was able to watch the video and follow along on the canal map! I so much appreciate how you provide details of where you’re starting from, taking time to show the lock numbers, and various points of interest along the canal route. I’m learning so much, anticipating a canal journey in the future. I will forever use the phrase “I’ve noticed a severe shortage of wine”. Always remember HOW Dexter became 16 years of age: excellent socialization, superb care, and all the love two could ever give to a companion. Well done.

Hey both, hope Dexter is feeling better he does look well, dog allergies are a pain our WFT is on apoquel but I don’t really like using it 😳 we sadly lost our gorgeous beagle 2 weeks ago I completely understand how difficult it is watching your beautiful dog getting a little slower but he does look fantastic 💖 on a random note regarding you chatting about getting your car closer to your boat, I viewed a gorgeous lock cottage on I think the Oxford canal recently it was off grid had it’s own mooring and came with it’s own narrow boat that was your transport to your car about 1/2 a mile away!! absolutely gorgeous but sadly not for us, anyway I hope you have a great weekend ☀️🌱🍁

Great vlog as always as I have noticed how much Dexter has slowed down I about 9 months behind and he is running a round like a pup bless him but at 112 doggy years old almost 16 human years old that's so good want him to live forever

I just wanted to pass on a recommendation to you for Dexter's allergies. My daughter's 9 year old white lab has had terrible allergies her whole life, nothing seemed to completely help until 5 years ago. Her vet recommended a Cytopoint injection , it works amazingly for her. She gets it about 3 times a year or when she starts biting her self. Hope this can help Dexter, its non steroidal. 😊

Nice, relaxing cruise - Thank you! Good to see Anthony on the boat, this time! I commiserate with you on aging pets. My Spaniel was adopted in 2009 and we think is 15, possibly 16, years old, now. Eyesight clouded with cataracts, hearing going & mobility issues in the last 2-3 years. Heartbreaking aging. I think, if this was filmed fairly recently, the heat and humidity were from a stalled old hurricane, in the Atlantic off the northern coast of Spain, that changed the usual wind flows.

Great journey and such a beautiful location. I hope the trip to the vet went well. My dog has an allergy which means she’s on half a tablet a day of Apoquel. The drug covers many allergies as any diagnosis is hard to detect what she’s got . She’s only 6 and is fine and full of bounce. Although Dexter is a lot older, it shows the love you three have for each other that he never wants to be apart from you. Take care, and be safe.

Hey Spoolbox. Glad you liked the intro. I was as surprised as you re my vet visit. Lovely glossy coat 😂. I have never seen a mobile post office before, what a great idea. Dexter hates the heat and we try and keep him cool as best we can. The medication stopped Dexter’s irritation thankfully. He still has some sores around his neck but we keep bathing him in his medicated shampoo. I am not sure you can get solid tyres for the Brompton. I have since purchased a different bike with thinker, nobbly tyres and that seems to be doing much better. Hope you are having a good weekend ❤
Lovely video, cherish all your Dexter days, you never know what can happen. We’re currently on Hurricane Lee watch that is headed right toward our province and possibly right where we live. We’ll have the high winds, loads of rain and high tides anyway wherever it comes ashore. We’ve had so much rain all summer that the ground is saturated and softer , the trees in full leaf so they are predicting lots of tree fall and power outages as they fall on power lines. I’m as ready as can be, everything is charged, water stored just in case and lots of food. Fingers crossed it veer off out to sea but looks like it’s not going to. We’ve had lots of rain the last three days from a different system and the heavy rains start tonight , making landfall tomorrow. Hope you found moorings and enjoyed your time there. 🙋🏼♀️

Great video. The skylights on Morning Star make an enormous difference to the light and airy feeling of the interior. Have you ever found the sunshine to be too bright or intrusive? Dexter is looking incredibly well for a large, 16-year old dog. “Bless him”, as Paul would say.
Hey Paul. Love the skylights. They definitely do make a difference to the light. The sun can be an issue though. It does get very warm. We are waiting for covers for them. Dexter is doing well. I always give them a 5mg Piriton tablet every day from the chemist. Works a treat. Always prescribed by my vet in England years ago and we have no problems with hay fever with them any more .

I also give a piriton daily and a anti itch liquid off Amazon to go in her food and needless to say the only thing with an itch is my pigging wallet lol 😂. Loved the fleeces. Awesome gifts. My sheltie is on same meds.,but vet said feed HILLS DERM COMPLETE , an egg once a day, and a pre/ prebiotic ( nutri- vet) and for trailing only something like Dr. Marty natures blend...freeze dried chicken. And no more than 2-3 chews for teeth a week ( greenies or Rachel rays bonz) at most. According to the 2 vets I saw they both hate most of the treats on the markets for dogs..

They are 1.98kW. You will never get the full power of that due to insufficiency such as cables and heat transfer. We are having them monitored though but 1000W is pretty good for the system we have. Watch this space though. Have a lovely weekend ❤

My dog had similar issue to your fur baby, vets money I went on a natural cure natural coconut oil organic one tea spoon also pooch and mutt dog food on Amazon 3 years on no allergies at all all above helps skin heart and joints xx

Just a note to say, I was able to watch the video and follow along on the canal map! I so much appreciate how you provide details of where you’re starting from, taking time to show the lock numbers, and various points of interest along the canal route. I’m learning so much, anticipating a canal journey in the future. I will forever use the phrase “I’ve noticed a severe shortage of wine”. Always remember HOW Dexter became 16 years of age: excellent socialization, superb care, and all the love two could ever give to a companion. Well done.

Hey both, hope Dexter is feeling better he does look well, dog allergies are a pain our WFT is on apoquel but I don’t really like using it 😳 we sadly lost our gorgeous beagle 2 weeks ago I completely understand how difficult it is watching your beautiful dog getting a little slower but he does look fantastic 💖 on a random note regarding you chatting about getting your car closer to your boat, I viewed a gorgeous lock cottage on I think the Oxford canal recently it was off grid had it’s own mooring and came with it’s own narrow boat that was your transport to your car about 1/2 a mile away!! absolutely gorgeous but sadly not for us, anyway I hope you have a great weekend ☀️🌱🍁

I just wanted to pass on a recommendation to you for Dexter's allergies. My daughter's 9 year old white lab has had terrible allergies her whole life, nothing seemed to completely help until 5 years ago. Her vet recommended a Cytopoint injection , it works amazingly for her. She gets it about 3 times a year or when she starts biting her self. Hope this can help Dexter, its non steroidal. 😊

Nice, relaxing cruise - Thank you! Good to see Anthony on the boat, this time! I commiserate with you on aging pets. My Spaniel was adopted in 2009 and we think is 15, possibly 16, years old, now. Eyesight clouded with cataracts, hearing going & mobility issues in the last 2-3 years. Heartbreaking aging. I think, if this was filmed fairly recently, the heat and humidity were from a stalled old hurricane, in the Atlantic off the northern coast of Spain, that changed the usual wind flows.

Great journey and such a beautiful location. I hope the trip to the vet went well. My dog has an allergy which means she’s on half a tablet a day of Apoquel. The drug covers many allergies as any diagnosis is hard to detect what she’s got . She’s only 6 and is fine and full of bounce. Although Dexter is a lot older, it shows the love you three have for each other that he never wants to be apart from you. Take care, and be safe.

Hey Spoolbox. Glad you liked the intro. I was as surprised as you re my vet visit. Lovely glossy coat 😂. I have never seen a mobile post office before, what a great idea. Dexter hates the heat and we try and keep him cool as best we can. The medication stopped Dexter’s irritation thankfully. He still has some sores around his neck but we keep bathing him in his medicated shampoo. I am not sure you can get solid tyres for the Brompton. Lovely video, cherish all your Dexter days, you never know what can happen. We’re currently on Hurricane Lee watch that is headed right toward our province and possibly right where we live. We’ll have the high winds, loads of rain and high tides anyway wherever it comes ashore. We’ve had so much rain all summer that the ground is saturated and softer , the trees in full leaf so they are predicting lots of tree fall and power outages as they fall on power lines.
I’m as ready as can be, everything is charged, water stored just in case and lots of food. Fingers crossed it veer off out to sea but looks like it’s not going to. We’ve had lots of rain the last three days from a different system and the heavy rains start tonight , making landfall tomorrow.

Great video. The skylights on Morning Star make an enormous difference to the light and airy feeling of the interior. Have you ever found the sunshine to be too bright or intrusive? Dexter is looking incredibly well for a large, 16-year old dog. “Bless him”, as Paul would say.
Hey Paul. Love the skylights. They definitely do make a difference to the light. The sun can be an issue though. It does get very warm. We are waiting for covers for them. Dexter is doing well. We have started to notice him slowing over the last few months but still seems very content. Have a lovely weekend ❤

By the way, 2 of my dogs get bad hay fever which isn't so good as we live on a farm lol. I always give them a 5mg Piriton tablet every day from the chemist. Works a treat. Always prescribed by my vet in England years ago and we have no problems with hay fever with them any more .

Not fun but the new modem seems to be faster and it is supposed to be more secure as well. It went pretty well. I had been anticipating the worst so pleasantly surprised. 😶🌫

Happy Saturday to you Dorothy. I am late replying this weekend as we were on a friend’s boat last night for drinks and nibbles. Glad you got your modem sorted. Tech is great when it works. We were so made up with the fleeces. It really was a kind and thoughtful gift and Dexter wasn’t left out either. 😊. He is slowing but still doing remarkably well bless him. It has finally cooled for us too. Sounds like you have nice temps. Love autumn. Definitely a nip in the air now. It was sad about Caroline’s dad. Lovely vlog and cruise and dear Dexter. If it’s any helps my Dotty the Dalmatian itches this time of year. She’s on Apoquel tablets expensive as hell but brilliant. I also give a piriton daily and a anti itch liquid off Amazon to go in her food and needless to say the only thing with an itch is my pigging wallet lol 😂. Loved the fleeces. Awesome gifts. My sheltie is on same meds.,but vet said feed HILLS DERM COMPLETE , an egg once a day, and a pre/ prebiotic ( nutri- vet) and for trailing only something like Dr. Marty natures blend...freeze dried chicken. And no more than 2-3 chews for teeth a week ( greenies or Rachel rays bonz) at most. According to the 2 vets I saw they both hate most of the treats on the markets for dogs..

Hi Jill. Dexter is so much more settled. The vet gave him tablets which stopped his irritation almost immediately. He still have sores which we bath him for. They are such a worry, especially as he gets older. Hope you are having a good weekend ❤

Get Dexter some dog Glucosamine/Chondroitin drops to put in his water. It's worked wonders with our 16½ year old Chihuahua.

Great video guys. I seem to recall your solar panels are rated at 2.5Kw, are they all working as they should be?
They are 1.98kW. You will never get the full power of that due to insufficiency such as cables and heat transfer. We are having them monitored though but 1000W is pretty good for the system we have. Watch this space though. Have a lovely weekend ❤
