Hamtramck: America’s first city with a Muslim-majority city council

- The city of Hamtramck in Michigan is undergoing a demographic change like no other in the US. Thirty years ago it was nearly 100 percent Polish-American. Since then, it's tried hard to attract immigrants from all over the world, including many Muslims.
The city, near Detroit, recently became the first in America with a majority Muslim city council. While many candidates in the US presidential campaign have tried to stoke fears of Muslim immigrants, Hamtramck is proving them wrong.
Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Michigan.
