This is my favorite series. Galactus gets defeated by other beings with power similar to his own. There was a scene where Star lord found out and said; “They took down Galactus, God help us all.”
It has a happy ending, Galactus eventually is rescued and destroys three nearby solar systems to attack annihilus in is rage.

Good question! They begin to crash down into a planet, but a hero called Quasar stopped the ship from plummeting into the planet. I didn't include that because it would start to stray from the topic of the video that I wanted to cover.

Was the Guardians of the Galaxy were around in this time? Or was this before the team was founded?
The current Guardians of the Galaxy with Star-lord? This was way before they became a team. They officially form after Annihilation Conquest. That said Peter Quill, Gamora, and Drax were involved in the Annihilation war but they were more Nova's friends and acquaintances than each other's. As a matter in fact Drax and Gamora only joined Star-Lord's Guardians because of Nova.
I literally bought Annhilation this week.

The retcon of the Nova was one of the worst Green Lantern copycat stories ever. It was straight up horrible. It's sales suggested as much. Nova was better off with the New Warriors.

@@markussmedhus9717 its pronounced the same way as Marine Corps. The P is silent and pronounced Core. Even thought it is spelled that way you do not say Marine Corps you say Marine Core because the P is Corps is silent. Its the same with the Nova Corps. It is pronounced Core.
