I became a Hikaru fan after I watched him be savage AF (jokes, wit) for absolutely no reason AND over and over to Gotham as they were critiquing subscriber tournament games - matched with his glare into the camera each time Levy appeared to miss or ignore the savagery.

I think it's called the Caro Kann advance variation, rather than "advanced", but since Hikaru calls pawns 'juicers', and he's a legend, he can call it whatever he wants.

longer time controls are better for below 1000. Speaking as a borderline 2100. blitz is all "muscle memory" imo, very little calculation.

Great videos but the titles have been a bit inaccurate recently. The video titled "Learn the Scandi" had a bunch of Sicilian games. This video titled "Hikaru Teaches the Advanced Caro Kann" contains a bunch of Scandi games. It's a bit confusing
Plus it's supposed to be, "advance". 😂 maybe a new editer.

It's the Caro-Kann advance variation. Same as the French advance variation. It is not the "advanced" variation as in the opposite of beginner.
