Looks so exciting, I cannot wait for our cruise in just 27 more days! We will be on the NCL Jade. We have dinner reservations for Moderno and I know it will be great! I have eaten at a couple different Brazilian Steakhouses in Nashville and in Gatlinburg, TN and they were awesome. The pineapple is my fave!! Ya'll are doing such an awesome job on your channel. But, I will say, you’re locked in a harness to catch you in case you fall. So, you might watch a couple people do it in real life and assess. But if you don’t feel like you can, there’s so many other fun activities. Best part of a ship there’s something for everyone.😁🚢
@@ogjk We really liked the Encore but the vibe is the Escape was just better in our opinion. The Cruise Director Jack and his Assistant Gary were fantastic!! The chandelier is way better too. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We thought we would prefer the Encore since it’s newer and has that fantastic observation lounge. But, in the end we prefer the Escape. Going on the Viva next year and can’t wait to compare one of the newest ships to the Encore and Escape. 😁🚢
@@corefouradventures2861 thanks for the advice and vids. We took Norwegian Spirit the smallest ship by pax capacity across the Pacific in May and we are taking Escape largest pax capacity transatlantic in November. It will be interesting dichotomy between the 2 vessels.
Yes! How did you like the Spirit? The Escape is massive but, they do such a good job of crowd management we never really felt the 4000+ passengers. (Sorry it took so long to reply-UA-cam is supposed to notify us when people reply and it didn’t) We have been wondering if you feel the ocean a lot more on those smaller ships. I have been reading about being charged a 21% VAT on purchases including drinks on NCL cruises leaving from Spanish ports. This is over and above a free at sea drink package where gratuities have been charged. Is it true? We will be going on this same itinery same ship in Oct. I saw this on cruise critic chats.
Yes, when in Spanish and Italian territorial waters you will pay the VAT tax on any beverages you get even with the free at sea drink package. But, the free drinks are $15 or less so, it will be $3.25 or less per drink. They just charge your key card and it goes on your onboard account. That being said, it only added up to less than $50 per couple. Once the ship gets out into international waters there’s no VAT tax. We just drank when we wanted and didn’t worry too much. I have heard of people getting extra drinks like wine while in international waters. They save it in a thermos style water bottle in their room for when in port.
Wow!!! Really I didn't know that!! So this 21% is added to the service charge that we allready payed?.you say Spain and Italy....we cruised with Azamara last year ..did Spain and Italy we were never charged this vat tax. Is this a new thing or is just NCL ? Thanks....
@@frankpicillo9527 We have heard not every cruise line has to charge it but we don’t know why. It could be because you were on an Italian line they didn’t have to charge it. Or, they accounted for it when they charged you for the drinks without splitting it out like NCL.

It was ready by the time we finished lunch. We had a couple drinks first. So, by like 1 pm. A lot earlier than on other cruises we’ve taken. 😁🚢
