Just a tip, tapping the portafilter is actually a good distribution technique(pre-tamp), but best done with your palm/knuckles rather than the tamper. Allows for more precise distribution and saves you from damaging the equipment long term. Check out Lance Hedrick if you wanna level up your coffee game three-fold!
Gonna have to get a grinder, I say more important than machine, ground coffee starts decaying within first hour after grind. But if u are happy with coffee then that’s good I guess

fresh ground coffee makes a TON of a difference... a day is toooo long.. maybe 10 minutes after grinding is ideal
