That’s such a good idea for a video! It will help me get inspiration for all the pages I haven't done (most of them😂). funny how your "dressing room" page is kinda similar to mine xD mine is not finished yet but i also had the idea with pink flowers kinda like cherry blossoms and a violett carpet. Oh ! and i also want to color the dressing table either in white or cream/beige for that I need to get some more of my polychromos....don't have the cream or ivory color of them...
That is interesting. Maybe you have a cream in another pencil set you could use? The Prisma deco yellow or Castel Arts Jasmine could work.
Oooh u followed Karen too on some of your pictures, my colorful country life on UA-cam I have followed her videos on a lot of my pages in this book and then added my own special touch don't u just love her color choices!!
I actually didn't follow her I must have been subconsciously influenced as I see her completed works on Instagram!

Hi Rachel, I've just discovered you! I am new to colouring and I will certainly be watching your tutorials, I have just put "Rooms of Wonder" in my Amazon basket! I blame it on that wardrobe of clothes and the facing page which reminded me of cutting out the doll and clothes in my weekly Bunty comic as a child. Can you explain what a colour cube chart is please? You have a lovely relaxing voice - much better than the narrators of some of the audio books I've listened to. Thank you for inspiring me and sharing your lovely work, I have subscribed to your channel. ❤
Thank you, I remember those paper dolls too! I have a video showing the color cube - ua-cam.com/video/K7FIJTbKehg/v-deo.html it is a box of cards, each of which has a color palette on it that you can use in a picture.

You should write the date and the material used on the page, or keep a seperate notebook with the details.
I have done that in some books - when the pages are single sided I can write on the opposite page but I do not like writing on a page I coloured. I did keep a spreadsheet for my copy of Worlds of Wonder but it was hard work so I have not done it for other books! I have so many books on the go it would be tricky to manage it!

Hi! New follower here. What colored pencils or art supplies are you using to color? Love your work!
Thank you for following! I use a lot of different supplies, mainly pencils and my favourites are the Faber Castell polychromos. I also use Castle Arts, Staedtler, Derwent, Black Widow, Arteza, and many more!
Thank you for the video! Could you please advise if it's possible to use watercolor and watercolor pencils with water in this book? How thick are the pages?
Thank you. I have not tried watercolour in the book. However, I have heard other people say that if you use a very minimal amount of water you can use them. This will depend on where the book was published though as the paper is not the same in every country.
@@RachelHendersonColouring Thank you for your response! In your opinion, which of your coloring books has the thickest and best-quality paper? And what are your current favorite coloring books? Do you have a top 3 or 5?
@@YuliyaAnts Out of the books I have, the thickest paper is in the Swedish edition of Moon Valley by Maria Trolle. Out of my UK editions I would say Hanna Karlzon books have the best quality paper and a lot of people seem to prefer hers for water colour work. My favourite books (at the moment, it changes!) are Worlds of Wonder and Ivy and the Inky Butterfly by Johanna Basford and Tales from the Witches Cottage by Hanna Karlzon. I would suggest looking at flip throughs of books before choosing as they vary a lot in content so it depends if you woudl rather colour people, nature, animals etc.
