I think your take on deni is very good. Was clearly the best player on the wizards last year. Defensively excellent and offensively becoming a stud as he makes the right play. Very unselfish and will make others better
I don't understand why the Wizards delt Deni, but am excited to watch him play with Scoot and Sharpe this season. Hopefully this is the last tanking year. It gets tough to watch towards the end of the season, especially when they're facing another tanking team. The lottery was supposed to put an end to this nonsense.
Man, you’re so professional in your analysis. I’m so excited about Deni, Sharpe and Clingan. Deni in particular I feel if he can add a few counters to his strong driving game (spin moves, mid range, body hesitations etc.) he can be a true star. With Shae the sky is the limit for him, the only question mark is his motor.
I think the Blazers need to focus this season on developing their young players and building the right culture. Giving minutes to whoever needs it, focusing on making the right plays, playing hard defense. Also, in terms of the coach - preparing the team for each match, roster management, substitutions, offense and defense. In the meanwhile, the front office should cease opportunities with trades and other moves in case the team is going in the right direction of if it's not going as planned.
Ant and Shaedon should be the starters. Ant's progress as a distributor is underestimated. He is indeed an All-Star level offensive player. His defensive limitations will be reduced if he starts next to Sharpe. Scoot can come in early for Ant and then Ant can come back in with the bench unit at SG next to Scoot that helps solve the bench scoring issue. Avdija fills a huge need. Clingan also fills a need. Grant is undervalued. I think the talent is significantly better than your ranking but they are trying to position themselves for the draft so not expecting a big leap in wins until '25-'26.
Yeah I like this Blazers team and described that they’ll be a major league pass team for me this season. But they’re still about 2 more years in my opinion away from being contenders
Portland is definitely in some type of rebuild. There is 1 team stat that blinks positive >> Offensive rebounding. The Blazers miss soo many shots, the rebounds proliferate to everyone. So the coach sends everyone at the glass, and opponents wail on Portland in transition.
Ant is highly underrateted and really note injury prone at all.......they keep sitting him to tank on the injured list if i were him id be pissed theyre ruining his career😊
Blazers at 28 is kinda wild. but Chauncey is terrible so it's possible. If blazers are even 50% healthier next year they should be a borderline play-in team.
Shade sharpe doesn't have durability issues... The only problem was the COACH giving him to much load on offense!!!!! He was asked to do waaaaayyy to much on the court. Thus he got injured 🙂↔️
Just to be devil's advocate - How can you possibly judge Chauncey Billups as a coach at this point? Here's a first time head coach hired by Neil Olshey to coach a team of veterans. Then, within weeks, Olshey is fired, Dame is out for the season with a core injury and the team salary dumps every veteran on the roster, eventually leaning into a complete rebuild. Case and point: Just a year ago everyone thought Monty Williams was a top 3 coach in the NBA (he was literally voted COTY). Now, put him on the rebuilding Pistons and all of the sudden he's the worst coach in the league and terminated 1 season into the most expensive coaching contract ever signed. Evaluating coaches is incredibly nuanced and sighting Wins/Losses of a rebuilding franchise featuring a roster of 20 year olds is probably not the best way to reach a solid conclusion on a coaches worth. What I do know, is that CB has been a true professional in Portland. Never complaining, protecting his guys, and having the guts to speak to the press every single post-game through 4 seasons of tanking, while still continuing to share a message of hope and progress. I could never call someone like that "a bad coach".
I think there is a case to be made that #28 is too low and #1 dynasty of all-time is more likely. Ask me in 100 years and we'll see how this thing plays out. I will be really old but the thing is I do excellent exercises to maintain optimum performance at such tasks like making my bed and opening cans of tuna. I think I will be fine. The question is how many Slim Jims do you want to wager. I want to wager ten tons of Slim Jims.
I disagree with starting scoot. Given all of your analysis on him needing another your; I’m surprised that you picked him. Honestly I see our current roster as a solid contender. Ant, Ayton, and Walker are playing for extensions. I expect us to start Ant - Thybulle - Deni - Grant - Ayton. With Ant being a combo guard and Grant essentially being our SG on offense, Thybulle only has to be a 3 & D player. Deni is a Point Forward and our second ball handler. The second unit needs scoot. With that we’d have the most talented bench in the league.
I Don't See us being " Contenders " and i don't think you mean that maybe a fringe play in team would be best case scenario, i see us running Ant - Shae - Grant (3) - Deni - Ayton while scoot comes off the bench, i don't mind this line up our bench would be Scoot - Thybulle - Toumani - Bari - Clingan am fine with that, i expect to be a decent team starting the season my only concerns would be trading RW3 to make minutes for Clingan and mid season trade deadline for Grant and Maybe Simon's depending on how scoot and Shae pan out.
@@hamadalkaabi2160 sharpe is better for us scoring off the bench and spacing the floor for Scoot. Starting Thybulle gives us the defensive presence needed to aid Ant and we already have enough ball handling with Ant, Deni, and Grant. Ant, Walker, & Ayton are playing for extension this season so expect them to give it their all.
You're overrating Deni. There's a reason he's on that contract. He's been bad most of his career. Cronin did a horrible job adding shooting in trades and the draft. Drafting Clingan made zero sense when you have 2 centers much better than him on the roster that are still young. Clingan is also not a better defensive big than Ayton or Rob. Ayton and Rob can defend the perimeter, defend the post and rim protect. Clingan can rim protect because of size but he's not quick enough to defend the perimeter or strong enough to defend the post. Cronin should have drafted Cody Williams.
Your not using your head dude u just talking out ut a** , Deni sighned the deal b4 he started to break out 🤦♂️ u just talking, think a bit, do some Research b4 talking lol ( the Clingan pick I got no opinion on yet they season didn't start we don't know if anyone will get traded )
Saying Deni “been bad most of his career” is crazy. He’s been the lone bright spot on a bad team for a few seasons now, look how their fanbase reacted. He takes on the best player on a night to night base from Giannis Bron to Fox and Luka. Great rebounder, point forward, jumpshot coming along. Cronin had an excellent offseason, shooting is not of the utmost importance right now. Finding players to fit around your core of Scoot and Shaedon is. And it looks like they found two starters for the long term future
@@DirtyBlazersFan Before last season Deni averaged 8 PPG with shooting splits of 42/30/71. Thats below average in the league. Shooting is important to the development of Scoot and the team. Scoot needs to play with shooters to be more effective
You're the franchise guy of the nba
Means so much to me, much appreciated!

Blazer fan here, this was a really good watch
Excited to see what’s next !
Appreciate it! New episode drops tomorrow!

No seriously lol

Portland is better than Detroit, Brooklyn, Washington, Chicago and possibly Utah and Charlotte as well.
I have Portland ranked above Washington and Brooklyn!
