- This is audio only of the final performance of Carousel with Nathaniel Hackmann as Billy Bigelow, singing the Soliloquy. I'm sure I'll get many comments as to the "self-indulgent" choice to take the high "b flat" at the end, but as John Raitt did it in the original production, I think it's a matter of personal preference.
Wonderful rendition, beautiful voice
BRA-VO! John Raitt would be proud. He took the Bb every Saturday night during the run. This is one of the finest renditions I have ever heard and a perfect blend of the old school legit sound with some modern style. I can hear both MacRae and Raitt in your sound but it is totally your own. What a find, you are something special.
That ending is thrilling.
I loved the way he approached that B Flat. Damn good rendition.
