Hi! I hope you had a great day! I spent my day in my sewing room getting a big project done and now I get to sit and watch your video while I make yarn. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead. Thank you for posting this video and sharing your positive energy.
Great video I love watching your quilting projects, you do beautiful work. You’re a great teacher taking time to explain things and I appreciate that. The ombré fabric will be a beautiful quilt when you finish.
Oh, I love this vlog! Excited to see your UFO progress. I’ve been watching Sean too and love to see his progress on his projects. I have a few UFOs too. So this will encourage me to get busy on finishing them. Thanks, Stephanie!
Yes! I need this! I have so many UFO's I don't want to start something new but I cannot seem to motivate myself to finish what I started. Thank you, I'm now inspired!
I have lots of UFO’s, also. I agree, it gets overwhelming. I have started trying to work on one at a time and I have finally finished a couple of quilts and embroidery projects I have been working on. I’m trying to finish several things before I start anything new. Our quilt shop finally started doing an open sew in their shop, so I’m taking things that are almost finished and getting them done. I don’t get interrupted there and it’s so fun to visit with the other ladies. One quilt/pillow/embroidery project at a time. ( :
Stephanie I bought your pattern in your shop for this quilt today. I am excited to star it. I was able to find a ombré confetti fabric that I liked. This is going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing your pattern. I liked it the day I first saw your video. Hugs
I sorted all my drawers and my closets in my sewing room over the past few weeks. Now things are much more organized. I can actually find what I need quickly. Phew.. I tackle one UFO a month. Less daunting to me personally. Keeping it fun !
I love those ombré blocks! I do watch Sean and I enjoy his progress on his projects. I actually do 1 quilt at a time - mostly! I veer off into crumb blocks or string blocks periodically. Everyone does what works for them right? 😀
Thank you! There are a few of us who gather every Thursday and this is what I do. I work only on QOV and one other UFO. So exciting to get a project done.
Oh I love your blog and can’t wait to see Donna’s interview. that mosaic block one my favorite and it was easy make. I need finish at least my other 3 blocks , to make table topper . I like watch Sean’s progress too.
I really enjoy seeing progress on UFO's! It is encouraging to anyone who watches -- we all get into situations where, even though we like what we're doing, something interferes with our progress and its hard to get back to that particular project. I really like the blocks you showed -- you mentioned that you had shown Shaun how to make them, did you do a video? I love variegated fabrics and the ones you chose are so beautiful! I don't care for most star block quilts, however I really like this one that you are working on. If you haven't made a video, could you make a video while you are sewing one and it would give us yet another idea for an interesting quilt, wall hanging or table runner. You are an excellent instructor and I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for all you do to help others.
Hi Stephanie. You have truly made my day seeing this video. I am so excited and looking forward to seeing your progress each week and this new series on your channel. I find it is very motivating to get things done when you have a video to create each week. I've knocked down quite a bit of my long time resident projects since starting my podcast. That fabric would probably look great in a bear paw as well. Hope you have a great week.
Well thank you! I did it with your encouragement and I truly appreciate you sharing the idea...hoping it really pushes me to finish things! I agree...I think a bear paw would be awesome out of this fabric!
I love the mosaic blocks with the ombre. I would try it, but I'm in the midst of my own UFO management strategy! I know doing the UFO vlog keeps you accountable, but for me, it is encouraging to see your progress (and Sean's) and spurs me to keep motivated. Thanks for posting, and have a great day!
Love your Ombré blocks. Beautiful! Before the pandemic I would always finish a project before I started another. Quilt tops went into a pile while I was waiting for backing fabric to arrive. Well those tops are still sitting there and I really need to tackle my UFOs and hold myself accountable. But it’s so much fun to start a new project. Lol. I definitely need help to get back on track. See you next time.
Hi, Stephanie . Love your Ombré blocks. So pretty. Wanted to let you know the sound on some videos, like this one is really low. I don’t know if it is because I use UA-cam on my TV or if anyone else has issues, but thought I would give you a heads up. Looking forward to seeing your WIP progress. Hoping it will help keep me motivated on mine. 😉 so many fabrics and patterns out there. They are my ‘SQUIRREL’. Cheers!
When you live life in the fast lane, the ufo pile grows. I have 4 that I need to get back to. But, I finished 3 major ufos last year. I am taking a ufo break hahaha. This project is beautiful!
I love that pattern and your plan to finish your UFOs.:) I need to do the same - they become so overwhelming! The Mosaic Stars are gorgeous in the ombré - adding that to my list!!♥️
Love the new UFO Vlog! Looking forward to seeing more of these. I also love the ombre blocks. Would you consider this for an upcoming Saturday tutorial? Thanks for the great content every week!
Hi there! Thank you for asking...I did this on a live one Saturday with Sean and Yvette. I will link that video here, but I can also shoot another quick tutorial and put it in next week's Monday UFO video! ua-cam.com/video/k3L5zQbvgvM/v-deo.html
Hi Stephanie, love the idea of wip accountability. Trying to work on one thing at a time with that finishing energy carrying me through, but my craft room looks like a cyclone came through & I don't want to go in there! Not the way to get things done. Maybe this will be just the inspiration I need to get back into things now that it's getting cold.
I always like to stay in the same collection, but I thought the background pulled the eye away from the colors, so that's why I went with plain white. I also think these could look amazing against a solid dark color as well!
Hi Bernie! I will link that here for you. Also, I have been asked, so I will film sewing one for next Monday's UFO video! ua-cam.com/video/k3L5zQbvgvM/v-deo.html
I've had it for a bit...surprised they don't have it yet. Here is what I have left...www.etsy.com/listing/1202688344/ombre-galaxy-metallics-v-and-co-moda?click_key=7b54d6321aef16a99fd4ac7da63f8c726441f2df%3A1202688344&click_sum=377826ec&ref=shop_home_active_33&sca=1
I am in the same boat. Last weekend I was moving things about trying to organize a bit and realized how many UFOs I had and couldn't believe it! I need to do what you are doing as well. I think that just one at a time, finish it and go onto the next is a good plan. Because if I don't focus on that I think I'll end up with even more UFOs! Thanks so much for this vlog, I think it's the nudge I have needed. Have a great week!🌷
Hi Stephanie!
Those blocks are beautiful. I can’t wait to see the finished quilt top. Happy sewing. See you next time. 😊💞
Thank you! ❤️

I love those mosaic stars! Beautiful fabric. UFOs,,,,oh dear. The bane of our lives. Can’t wait to see yours finished. 😍🇦🇺
Thank you! Yes UFOs can be a bit much, but I am determined to catch up!
Oh, I love this vlog! Excited to see your UFO progress. I’ve been watching Sean too and love to see his progress on his projects. I have a few UFOs too. So this will encourage me to get busy on finishing them. Thanks, Stephanie!

Nice! Want to come do mine? 😊 Seriously, that's awesome! I feel like I've got a good plan to get things done.
I had forgotten about them. I really love them
Thank you

That will make a lovely table topper! I definitely give him all the credit for the idea to get my UFOs done!
Glad to see you doing this. I love checking on Sean's progress each week. It has helped me get a few of my projects completed. Luv your ombre blocks!
Thank you about my blocks! Yes...Sean was encouraging me and watching him get things done, it was a good motivator!

Thank you ❤️. Sean and I did sew it on a Saturday live, but I am going to sew one up for next Monday on camera as others have also asked. 😀
Yes sometimes it gets overwhelming. You are sew inspiring...ty
Aww, thanks so much Sherrol! xoxo

UFO management strategy...I love it!!! Hope you have a great week!
What a wonderful idea. Monday is my least favorite day, this can be a way to change my thinking about that. I really love your videos 💕
Thank you! ❤️ It is usually my least favorite day as well, but now something fun to look forward to!

It is fun to start a new project...that's why I have too many UFOs! Hopefully we can get back on track!
Watching the replay
Hi there! 😊
I love those mosaic stars! I’m looking for the tutorial!
I think I did it on my #2 UFO vlog! :-)
I missed you :( bummer . I'll try to catch you next time & watch the replay this time
Hey Coleen! No worries...I was in and out quick 😊

Pretty Ombre fabrics
Hi there!
I love this idea, picking one UFO and posting progress to keep yourself accountable! I may just follow your footsteps on this one 🥰 xoxo
Please do! We can do it!

Thank you...I will check it out...sounded okay on my laptop, but I will definitely check my settings. 😊 Too many squirrel fabrics, right? 💜

It does grow (and keeps growing! LOL). Awesome for finishing 3...4 is not a bad number! So excited to get this one done!
I love that pattern and your plan to finish your UFOs.:) I need to do the same - they become so overwhelming! The Mosaic Stars are gorgeous in the ombré - adding that to my list!!♥️
Thank you! Fingers crossed I can keep the momentum going (and not get distracted by yarn, LOL!).
@@StephaniesStitches Of course!! It's hard to do!!

@@StephaniesStitches Hello! I must have missed that one. Thank you so much for the link! I will check it out 😀.
I love those blocks. I’m over my head with UFOs too. Maybe watching your progress will help me get back on track.
Awesome...let's do this!
Sorry I missed your live vlog, I love your Ambre stars behind you. Is that four patch square with flying geese for the star points?
I am trying to learn how to pick out how a quilt is put together. Slowly but surely. LOl 😂

Oh good...maybe we can help each other! I definitely need it. I was cleaning due to that same cyclone and got overwhelmed very quickly!
Stephanie will the off white in this collection look good for the background. It's hard for me to picture without fabric. Love your blocks

@@StephaniesStitches thanks for answering I was debating on whether I should order or not. I will look for something else maybe off white or ivory
@@lisabuckner2881 I think and off-white or cream would be lovely!
I started one when you did your live. Hope to finish it up this weekend for a new baby boy! It came out really beautiful.
Wonderful! I would love to see that!
Love those blocks behind you! Where do I find the pattern?
That's my creation...I haven't really written a pattern yet! But I have been asked and will do a quick tutorial on a block for next Monday's UFO Vlog.
Hi Steph I'm watching
Hey there!!! Thank you. xoxo
love the idea about ufo's going to try it. what is the name of the pattern you are using it is cute
Thank you! No pattern...it is my creation ❤️😊
I can’t find your video of making these mosaic stars! Please let me know where it is located,or the video name!! Thank you 😊 Bernie

Hi Stephanie, I looked on Fat Quarter shop for the new Moda Ombre and they don't seem to have it. How long have you had it?
I've had it for a bit...surprised they don't have it yet. Here is what I have left...www.etsy.com/listing/1202688344/ombre-galaxy-metallics-v-and-co-moda?click_key=7b54d6321aef16a99fd4ac7da63f8c726441f2df%3A1202688344&click_sum=377826ec&ref=shop_home_active_33&sca=1

What size of fabric ar you suing for the umbra blocks?
I am using fat quarters if that's what you mean? But could use fat eighths...I just had that fat quarters on hand. And then some background fabric.
What did you say the name of that block
I named it a mosaic star block because it looks like mosaic tile to me! :-) I don't know if it is a 'real' block or not, but now it is, LOL! :-)
Oh my gosh. I can really understand this!!! I have sooooo many UFOs also!! Keep us all accountable!❤️❤️😂😂
Awesome! Sew along with me!!!
