Indémodable, intemporel ,intergénérationnel, interracial, universel , les Beatles : le meilleur groupe de tous les temps. Bravo aux musiciens de NYC qui sont tous excellents et merci à eux pour leur brio et leurs talents. Thanks a lot...
Fantastic! Sitting in Sweden on a grey Thursday in November 2022 and listen to this Is a privilege. What a performance! Very well played and the drummer on Ticket To Ride, Any time at all and Back in the USSR in Central Park NYC 10/09/2022 is outstanding! He is like a young Ringo Starr as someone wrote. John Lennon must be smiling in his heaven. If any one who read this knows the drummer send him this message from Sweden.
I love these videos. And they go back a dozen years or more, so 1) a ton of people have learned these songs and 2) feel confident enough to sing and play them in front of other people.
@@thebeatlesnyc Thank You and thank you so much for honoring John Winston Lennon in such a beautiful and heartfelt way. The world was watching what you did in awe. Thank you so much NYC. Love from the North of England. LENNON FOREVER ✌️
The Beatles were the first group to build an entire song around a very consistent guitar riff. Listen to songs like You can’t do that, Ticket to Ride, I feel fine or Day tripper. These really still turn me on; they were very originals; almost every british band copied them. Another fact I remember vividly was to hear ! Two singers singing at uníson !!!. Like if they were doing it only for fun !!!. Nobody had done that at that time. And what to say about the beauty and quality of their songs and how really good musicians and singers they were. The ‘artists of the 20 Century !!!. Excuse my english; spanish is my native language
Yes! I love Ticket to Ride and Day Tripper too. The Beatles will always be #1. Thanks for sharing and don't worry. Spanish is also my native language:) Saludos desde New York.
I'm a massive WHO fan but THE BEATLES were the top's they were so talented and gifted musician's I'm 73 now but very glad I lived through those magic years of the 60 and 70's.
I asked Eric the drummer and this is his response: The towels are on the drums partly, because it mutes the sound, so the drums don't overpower instruments that are only acoustic. The other reason is, Ringo used towels on some of his drums quite a bit, starting with the White album in 1968. The"drum towel sound"was also heard on most of let it be and Abbey road. So, the towel sound is very good for some later Beatles tunes.
A little bit of both! Most of the musicians you're seeing here have been consistently playing Beatles music in some sort of professional/semi-professional manner for years, if not decades. Some of them have played together (like the Meetles members who showed), but most don't really play with each other much outside of the Lennon Days. You could almost think of it as a kind of Supergroup of all the New York area's Beatles tribute musicians!
The young man on the drums did an excellent job!
MIDENKINEK-GRATULA.!(HUNGARY)

Whoever's singing that high harmony is (are?) nailing it; love how it enriches the palate of the recording!

Everybody is in on these. That’s great!
There is a video on UA-cam commenting on how most drummers get this song wrong because there is a slight lag in the beat...this guy has it right.
and the hand claps at the outro!

Can anyone tell me why the drummer is using towel's to cover his drum's as he's playing them..? Is it to with sound..?
