How to make Gumpaste / Fondant Ballet Slippers Cake Topper

- Hi and welcome back to my kitchen. In this weeks video tutorial I am going to show you how I made these pretty, pastel pink, ballet slipper cake toppers out of gumpaste, which are perfect to add to a ballerina themed cake. The ballet slippers are 4.5 inches in length and have both detail on the front and the back. I have put a link below to my template for your to download.

Great work - you make it look like child's play - I have to try and make it for my niece who loves ballet and turned 13 yday .. wish me luck as I often do choc dripping and normal cakes but go into a frenzy when I need to work with fondant..

Hi Lynz I tried to make these shoes the shoes themselves turned out well but putting the tooth pick in didn’t work out so well I’m still learning so how long would I wait before I put the tooth pick in I would like to stand them up. Do you let the gum paste dry between every step?
This is lovely and I appreciate your template but there are no real measurements on the template. It would be really helpful if there were measurements.
The overall slipper size is 4.5", if that helps any.
