Your script helped me a lot, in fact I had some small errors in the waybar, the shutdown icon did not appear after an update, now after using your script the icon returned. I have returned to the dotfiles that I have been compiling from your work. Later, with more time, I will try your new contributions. And again, thank you very, very much for all your work, it is hard to do what you share.

I can configure my second monitor well and in general everything works great! If something comes up I'll let you know, but from now on I'm eternally grateful. Easier for me to maintain plus, later on, Ill be creating a script that will offer upgrade of dots Go through readme as there is a small breakage (probably) on foot but also, pay attention to wallpaper section on readme. I will be posting a video about it by the end of the week and I will also edit my install scripts and put it live once I posted about this dots. Have a look at the changelogs as well

This is really cool i did try it i had to do some small tweeks and now its working amazing . Am not good at theming so i depend on others for their choice in themes and you theme is elagant . Once again thanks for this
first i had to comment out few lines as the bar was giving me errors,few color and blur things i had to comment out and tweeks are mostly for my sake to make it according to me and one more issue sddm was not working at all when i installed through the script i didnt check what was wrong as i dont like sddm so i quickly unistalled it and i preffer ly . Nothing major overall its amazing just once check the color and blur in config and sddm . I feel sddm is broken for me i guess am not sure but the color and blur thing was problem @@Ja.KooLit

27-Oct-2023 Changes on the repo. after initial boot-up after install, you will experience a NO wallpaper. This is due to changes I made on the install scripts To correct that, you can press the light/dark button or choose wallpaper (SUPER CTRL W), and that wallpaper will be loaded after reboot or login. If you want to use swaybg as wallpaper provider, you can edit ~/.config/hypr/configs/Execs.conf and uncomment the swaybg part
check if swww is installed properly. Its the only explanation I could think off. The no wallpaper was already fixed since I created a small script that will ran after initial install

I dont want to say yes everybody has their own experience and opinion.. But I have been daily driving and gaming on Hyprland for more than 6 months now. All the apps I wanted to use ran on Hyprland
check the log why it failed... and try to change to Hyprland folder inside the Debian-Hyprland folder the try running this make all sudo make install that should manually install Hyprland
@@rocklinks well if only I could ran sudo apt install hyprland I would do that :) But I dont want to answer that question. I leave that for you to find out why :)
was just a habit because I wanted to check always before confirming since distros like Debian, OpenSuse, Fedora have sometimes installing some weak dependencies which I dont need :)
Good question. I dont think so. Thats because hyprland needed new wayland libraries to be compiled and mint dont have that. Unless you can source the new sources from ubuntu 23.10, then might work
will this not work on virtual machine. Because i have just installed ubuntu 23.10 on one, and after running the script when i switch to hyprland and login there is a black screen for 2 sec then i am back to login page.

Thank you for this. I am trying this with debian SID in a VM. I have it working except for WAYBAR. It fais with style.css failed to import : Error opening /home/user/.cache/wal/colors-waybar.css
Update: I used the key bindings to change the waybar Style and now the waybar appears. BUT the rofi menu errors with failed to open /home/user/.config/rofi/pywal-color/pywal-theme.rasi No such file. Any suggestions? Thanks
Update to the Update. ImageMagick wasn't installed. nstalled that ran some of the scripts for wallpaper and waybarcss manually Now things are working with SID!

yes.. but performance is not good plus you need 3d acceleration .. plus some says they cant make it work...

in theory, it should be. Although I have not tried. I have only tested in ubuntu with gnome. It works on debian without gui, so it should be..

You should use hyprlock, with wlock for the desktop ui to lock, logout, restart, shutdown.

Bro today i installed this on debian sid which installed every packages successfully except the hyprland for me.
check the log why it failed...
and try to change to Hyprland folder inside the Debian-Hyprland folder
the try running this

sudo make install
that should manually install Hyprland
if all fails, you can manually clone the Hyprland source
git clone --recursive github.com/hyprwm/Hyprland
cd Hyprland
make all && sudo make install

Bro Add the taskbar like behaviour and dock like behavior on the bottom .Actually It not impossible but i dont know how.

I think you could make a Taskbar and a dock using eww but I don't think that'd be a very easy process
You could also change the "look and feel" of something like wofi to be like a dock. But idk if that's what you want
