Purpose of the double wrap is to provide more range for your speargun, if you add another rubber you can help increase the range of your speargun but it is not needed
HI Luka, you'll see around 2:50 that he wraps the line around the top and then back down to the handle then back up. This is a double wrap. A single wrap would have been crimped off the first time he took the mono back up to the muzzle. Let us know if you have any other questions on this.

Hi. I was always taught not to crimp at the ends of the crimp to minimise risk of fraying the line.
Hi Steevo, you crimp about 1mm back from the end of the crimp on both ends so it kind of mushrooms out a bit.

I use Electrical wiring pliers that have a crimper on it it’s only one size but it hasn’t failed me yet
