Here Finland you need 3 sets of suits if you want dive all year long. In winter water is 0°C or even -2°C right before freesing and air can be -15°C at same time. Winter i use 9mm and not getting cold
This was a VARY, nice video. I live in the states and saw two of the suits that you showed, and because the picture showed fleece I thought it was a joke. There is someone selling the Lycra suit,,, this was really informative for me.
An informative review. There’s a bit of information i would have like to learn more about concerning the chest protector. I was watching a review on a new rob allen roller gun, each time the reviewer started loading the gun with the butt pressed to their chest, then they stopped? Did the loading pressure of the gun actually hurt their chest? It seemed so. I think the effectiveness of the chest protector is an important detail regarding any band loading speargun. I was looking at the cressi apnea which has a speargun loading pad, i was curious if it was effective or not.
Do you know much about Titanium Lined Neoprene wetsuits. Supposedly no lube and it keeps the heat in. Not sure about the strength or stretch of the material. Cheers
One thing i don’t heard talked about is how annoying the tiny jelly fish type creatures can be in tropical areas. It’s almost a requirement to be covered up fully or you’ll be covered in rashes that itch and burn.
+Hardi Sarudi The Salvimar Atlantis 1.5mm is a great wetsuit suitable to either environment. In choosing to go with this wetsuit or another you should look more into the temperature of the water you'll be diving. Thanks for the comment! Hi Tj, The Cressi Seppia is a good quality open cell wetsuit featuring flatlock stitching, an internal layer in metallic black neoprene, loading/reloading chest plate and special knee-pads for extra protection. Feel free to drop into one of our megastores to chat with an expert and try it out for yourself.
Good video. However it is a little confusing the terms of smooth skin, open cell vs closed cell have not been explained well. I recommend the video from Daniel Mann to everyone for more and accurate information along with thermal images.
I wear my 7mm all year round in Tassie :D 11-12 degree water in winter👌
That's boiling! 😂

In Victoria, the coldest I have dived in is 9 Deg, with a shell suit it was fine. BTW - Where did you buy your double necked wet suit?
@@trevorgale1176 I bought my 7mm at scubastore.com since there were very few aussie sellers and they were all overpriced.
Lmao in norway normal is 10 degrees 14-17 in summer and 0-7 in winter

@@ADRENO thank you so much for the help 👌
How much for Philips moniy ma'am
Curious to see what everyone uses to get into their Open Cell wet suit lubrication wise?
Tom Stoyles sex lube works best
Thanks, do you dilute? i.e mix with water?
Nah 😂 just uses conditioner and water
Wouldn’t it feel a bit gross having the conditioner still inside your wetsuit for that whole time?
Hey, what wetsuit size, material, etc should i get for spearfishing/freediving here in the colder waters of south australia?
7mm fullbody wetsuit, and hood with boots and gloves if really cold
