I immigrated to Canada through the Express Entry (Canadian Experience Class - CEC) and I want to share with you about this stream and how can you prepare for it. Hello, is it manadatory that the job offer in CEC is full time or part time regular can be invited also?
Vacation is counted towards the 1560 hours, as long as it was paid. This information can be found on the IRCC website.
Yes, exactly! it has to be paid, for unpaid vacation it cannot be counted, the vacation leave allowance should be reasonable too for example 2 weeks for 52 weeks. So in my case I was off for almost a month, so I had to deduct my 2 weeks out of my 52 weeks, and i just submitted more than 52 weeks just to be in the safe side.
Why IRCC is not counting IWA ( public policy work permit extension launched in august 2022) towards my CEC experience.
Is it considered po working during studies? I am more than 1 yr as part time but with a minimum of 30 hrs per week
hi can I use TEER 2 with 2 years experience and applied EE CEC 320 CRS score and BCPNP TEER 1 with job offer health Authority. Im a bit hesitant to start. will there be an issue if I have different TEER and NOC thank you.

Hi MC. Need ba isubmit agad yung profile kahit wala pang 1 year canadian exp. Kasi sakin Sept pako makaka1 year. Tapos 60 days lang dapat macomplete na yung profile. You mean submit it right away?
I did submit it before 1 year weeks before. I suggest you create the profile whiel completing the work experience.

This is such a stupid thing by IRCC that you are allowed to work under IWA period but that experience will not be counted under CeC

Yes you can, however you might not be able to reach the cut off score

It was mentioned during his interviews, it will be officially finalized on Sep 2024, so better create your EE profile if you’re about to complete the 1 year exp. Lets see how it goes! goodluck! ❤

if you are qualified for the pnp go ahead with it bcoz we are not sure how they will roll out the domestic draws.

Hi, does one need to include door dash work on PR application, when it was not included in EE profile?
Door dash work doesn't count towards your work experience. It's Teer 5 you need at least TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 category jobs

What if someone has been a Registered nurse in a different country for a little over 6 years and want to come work and live in Canada. What pathways can that person take to make this possible?
as per the last announcement, they will prioritize the ones inside canada, esp the ones with Canadian Experience already. So if you can’t get an employer outside Canada, then consider studying to get the post grad work permit just like what I did.

Once it's officially open again, yes PSW is TEER 3 so you can apply under the CEC too, hence they have the healthcare category as well.

Depends, check the different routes available to you and then weigh what's the best one for you, have a plan B as well ;)

I am interested in applying for CEC. But I started as a temporary full time as a TEER 3 in June 2023 (last year); so this means I have gained more than 30 hours per week yet my benefits weren’t given until I have been granted a permanent full time position this January 2024. What target month do you think I should apply in case the CEC had been released this month?
usually one year work experience only counts once you have the full time job offer/experience - casual job doesn’t count unfortunately.

For outsiders, try to find an employer inside Canada that can give you a lmia (unfortunately that’s not easy to find now a days)

if its under teer 0123, with 1 year exp in Canada usually you are eligible but you need to calculate your points and see if you meet the cutoff score

Why are you spreading misinformation- “IRCC is going to open CEC from this September “ There is no such announcement made by IRCC.
Yes, he did not make the official announcement yet (i think I’d better remove that sentence in my video to avoid confusion) but expect something this Fall 2024. CEC may come back because the Fedz will do more domestic draws. He mentioned Fall 2024 2x during his speech - so lets see how it goes.
As per Miller March 27, “this means not only setting targets, Starting this FALL, for the first time, we will expand the Immigration Levels Plan, to include both temporary resident arrivals and permanent resident arrivals. The LATTER CATEGORY is something we’re doing already.
As part of our efforts for temporary residents to transition to permanent residency, we will have more DOMESTIC DRAWS for us and ask provinces and territories taking part in the Provincial Nominee Program to do the same with their allocations.
This will realign our efforts and provide a pathway for those who are in the country, who wish to stay and contribute to the country and to the economy.
This target will be finalized in the FALL, after consulting our provincial and territorial counterparts and as part of our annual levels planning.
- These are from the CIC news room, you’ll see the official announcement this fall, they made it clear that they will decrease the temporary workers and they will utilize the people inside Canada with work permit already that could gain Canadian work experience that aligns the labour market needs. so its up to you if you wait until Sep to see the official announcement before you create your express entry profile, but for me I’d be prepared if I am already inside Canada, definitely outside Canada will have the hard time get their residency.

Is the work experience during studies counted as work experience for CEC? Or just the work experience gained during PGWP?
nope, it has to be after grad, or during your work permit na (pgwp).

I think it wouldn’t be just CEC draw . It could be a class with category draw. Or a pathway for priority occupations those who are in Canada . Situation is different. I don’t think so it’s just a CEC general draw that immigration minister referring . He said he wants to look deep in to it to avoid bad consequences. That means it wouldn’t be just CEC
Yes, I don’t think they will remove the category based, it will stay there, I think they might change the general draw - get more in-canada workers. So lets see this coming Fall 2024 - the sad news is I don’t think it the cut off score will go down sooner or later - but let see! 🙌
That makes no sense. Then it would become category based and 75 to 80 percent of people are working in non category based jobs.
