Looking at a computer screen and not showing it to the viewers of the video? I learned absolutely nothing from this.

Love the show but no picture or video for example?

Yeah these guys are definitely not the best drone channel to be watching on youtube. Paul is a total tool and I feel bad for the other guy who feels like he has to be on the show with him.
Originaldobo is much better content, but only if you can handle his sometimes crass, abrasive attitude, and cussing.

As far as ive read...the anti collision lighting needs to be mounted on top. Most drones have lights built in on the bottom. Then reason y the lights go on top is so aircraft that is above u can see u below when they descend.

Also the anti collision lighting cannot be turned off per FAA rules. They can only be dimmed if its in best interest when flying at night. These lights are to be on anytime u plan on flying. Before the drone leaves the ground the lights must be on and working properly. If not u cannot fly at twillight or night operations. Its recommended to have smaller lights attatched to the sides of the drone that can be seen from 3 SM. the lights must probe within 1 sec intervals. But as mentioned most drones comes with lights already built in. But as mentioned i have read its best to mount the lights on top. So the pilots from above can see the drone and know its altitude so it doesnt Come in the same altitude around the drone. Most drones have the lights built in on bottom red green blue etc and these lights blink after so long which to me would be bright enough if a plane were to fly under it. But per FAA it has to be seen 3 SM. It is to be seen from that distance so the pilot knows its location. To avoid accidents

FYI: I used the 3m GoPro curved mounts for my GoPro on my snowboard helmet and never had it come loose after 3 years of use. This was going at speeds of 50+ mph and through trees bumping against the GoPro. I would not apply the 3m at cold temps though.

The light I put on top my P4P caused it to drift in GPS mode. Im guessing I have to get a different style that connect to the legs.

OMG, they wasted almost half the video chatting about sports! Then they rambled on again without saying anything useful. This is what I hate most about UA-cam videos. They went on and on about the glue or tape. But nothing useful about the mounting position, The bottom line is that a manned aircraft is more likely to be above your drone, so the strobe need to be on the top. Period.

I use 55F or warmer as a general painting rule. My drones have Velcro patches. Scotch clear shipping packaging tape is an option.

Are the anti collision lights only for night or day use also?

I heard your auntie kitchen lights are supposed to be sent from above. Because that’s where flying crafts are

Simple solution use RV silicone apply it in the house and it dries pretty fast. Only takes a little and not to hard to remove. Sticks very well. I used that for a lighting system on my sports bike. Freezing cold hot it doesn't matter it ain't coming off!! Won't damage the paint either it just rolls off with minimum effort.

Yes, the FAA does want 360 degree coverage for anti-collision light(s). Think about it. The light needs to be seen by other aircraft. Where will that aircraft be? Left / right / in front / behind? Anywhere! Oh, I do have am email from the FAA about this. But one shouldn't even need to question this as it's germane to the the definition / use of the light.

Too bad we can’t post pics in the comments. For my Phantom 4 Pro, I hand fabricated 2 platforms out of balsa wood an used exterior grade Command stickers to attach the platforms to the sides of the drone between the motors (yes the compound radius was time consuming to get right). I used “5 Minute Epoxy” to glue Velcro to the strobe and balsa platform. I have yet to have a problem with this config - the Velcro is secure and the platforms are solidly attached below the level of the props.. I have the option of adding small electrical style zip ties if I need them, but so far I don’t need them. Also, to enhance visibility from the ground for both pilot and visual observers, I purchased an extra camera storage guard, cut it in half and fabricated 2 ‘leg’ mounts with strobes facing straight down. Since the camera guard is already configured to snap on to the bottom of the P4P landing structure, I just snap them on but turn outwards. This part could use more work and these ‘leg’ strobes do bounce around a bit, but haven’t lost one yet. I would recommend caution using superglue as in my experience superglue doesn’t handle shock all that well, and the bond doesn’t stand the test of time. Hope this helps. Happy New Year

Really guys.......3M body side molding tape stays put through, cold, rain, whatever........comes off cleanly! Clean surfaces properly with alcohol before installation.
