- Chicken Pita Recipe (for 4 people)
For dough;
200 ml warm water
2 tablespoons of oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 pack of dry yeast
500 ml flour
1 teaspoon of salt

1-2 green peppers
1 medium onion
1 tomato
100 ml oil
2 cloves of crushed garlic

1 tablespoon of oil

Let's add 200 ml of warm water, 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 packet of dry yeast to our kneading bowl and mix. Let's add 500 ml of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt and knead until we get a soft dough that does not stick to the hand. Let's cover it with stretch film and let it ferment for 45 minutes.
Let's chop 1 red capia pepper into small pieces. Let's chop 1-2 green peppers into small pieces. Let's chop 1 medium-sized onion into small pieces. Let's chop 1 tomato into small pieces. Let's chop 250 g of chicken breast into small cubes. Let's put the chopped ingredients, 100 ml of oil, 2 cloves of crushed garlic, 2 teaspoons of salt, 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder, 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, half a teaspoon of black pepper and 25 g of butter cut into cubes into a bowl and mix.
Let's put the fermented dough on the counter and divide it into 4 pieces. Let's open the meringues lengthwise and place them on a tray floured with corn flour. Let's make light holes with a fork and add some grated cheddar cheese. Let's put one quarter of our chicken mixture and close the edges of the dough.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to 1 egg yolk, mix and spread on the edges of the pitas. Let's bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes. As soon as it comes out of the oven, let's put butter on the edges.
