So, I know this was a while ago, but I DON'T recommend using sharpie for inking. I used to use it all the time and it was what we used in my cartooning classes. But over time I learned Sharpie is non-archival. I went back to a lot of my old work to find it had been destroyed. Some of the pictures didn't look anything like when they were first created. I would recommend micron or Faber Castel brush tip markers. Or even just familiarizing yourself with a brush.
I freaking love the G-pen! I literally use it for EVERY DRAWING, and my manga! The flexibility is amazing! I just bought the Maru Nib and Spoon nib to experiment more on many different kinds of nib, But honestly the G-pen is my soul and baby😤. Amazing video definitely looking forward for more manga related topics
Don't burn the tip, you risk killing the temper! Also a marker to check out for filling in big black areas is a Pilot SC-660, probably the smoothest and best felt tip around and it can be refilled with SC-660 ink (marker only, not for dip pens, don't confuse it with your Pilot Drafting or Document ink!)
Thanks for the help! I've been trying to figure out if I should get one or not and this video makes me think I probably should. The only downside is the price though.😭
It varies, I'd like to work more on my manga but I also have a day job haha. Don't have an exact number on how long the ink lasts, but I still have my initial ink bottle so it will last you many illustrations :)
@@REMCreates Tragic! also I've been using Tachikawas brand of G pen Nibs for like a year now and frankly think I'm ready to try a different version. People seem to hold the zebra brand G nib high above the other ones in the manga/ anime community. Would you agree it's the best? Because I always see art with the Zebra G nib and frankly the line quality looks nicer.

Yeah, sharpies also just don't get the job done in general. It usually ends up looking kind of grayish black.

Thanks! I still have yet to try the spoon nib but it's really fun to use dip pens once you get used to it, thanks for following along! :)

Great Job Loved the video. I hope your one shot does well
How many hours a day you spend working on your manga ?
also how long does the ink in the pot last ? say how many fan illustrations can it last ?

@@REMCreates ohh thanks !
Please tell the difference between a saji pen and g pen.
I’ll stick to brushes and fine liners
Great vid!
is that an earthquake??? or the table is just shaky? or is it just my WIFI?
It's your eyes. You should see a doctor 💀
He shakes the table while hatching.
This video was a big help when I was starting out in manga and animation. Just wondering though, whats the second song in the video called?
Thanks! I lost the song name unfortunately :(
