Na, I know exactly what you mean. Big moves constantly, several halts in different stocks daily Monday through Friday. Todays CGC and AGB gave me a small taste of those months again. We were spoiled Feb-March and didn't realize it at the time 😂
Go figure after a 2 year "vacation" from trading after blowing up my account I decide to come back to try small cap momo for the first time during the slowest time. The first week I spent only watching, learning LVL 2. Now that im trading the sim I wish I could trade that first week I sat down, I think it was the last week of February.
Man, I just started 2 weeks ago. I'm still very unsure of what I do, and this morning I didn't see much interesting. I traded 2 of the stocks he's talking about at 9:30am, with 300$, lost 25$, and I thought I was scanning wrong, or unable to find the opportunities. Then I watch this video and I realized I'm better than I thought at scanning. I actually saw what he sway, nothing interesting. I gave up around 11am.
It takes years to become break even. Even longer to be profitable. Expect at least 5 years and if you’re lucky enough you’ll be profitable.
If you were really dialed in you would've known it wasn't worth the risk trading into market open. Very little action and some nasty flushes and failure to hold VWAP in premarket. On days like today you could've found yourself deep in the hole by 11am. A near 10% lose of your account value is NOT good. Just being real, keep learning!
April will end as the worst month of 2024. Hope May will bring some positive news
I came up with a new rule today. No trading in multiple accounts. I was up in a standard account and gave back 85% when I moved over to my roth. Still a green day, but I would not call it successful. Much like having a successful red day, this is an unsuccessful green day. I should have walked away when I was up and not pressed the market.
Rule 1. ALWAYS take profits.

There were a couple stocks I caught at the open til 10 that did me good today
I'm still learning. I tested the waters today with GMM and I came up green, even though it was $1.56! Hahaha!! But my question is, when it comes to volume, what am I looking for? Is there a number that I should be over?
Ross usually says 5× the average volume
GMM Had 4 nice legs upward in pre-market. For the first time, I added to my trade ahead of the 4th leg, and closed out at the high of day, instead of being too cautious and closing out early. This was based on my findings from my trade reports from previous days. All thanks to you, Ross!

I think that analogy of the Taxi driver can be wrong, as if you keep trading then overtrade you will give back a portion of the green and then keep trading to get that bit you lost off the top.

Hi Ross, that book sounds great. She's right about cab drivers haha , but things are different now. Uber's taken over, and with so many drivers, you pretty much have to stop after 7-8 shift anyway and like nowadays in the stock market it's just too slow also, and you just have to give up.

I was in AGBA today at $3 and thought the same thing only because of volume
I didn't like any of the gappers either but decided to go with a smallest risk possible. Bought 200 shares of CYCC at 8:41am at $2.15 and sitting on them overnight only with a limit order for $2.45.Yellow day l guess 😊

My SL got switched from 10¢ to .1% so when I tried to enter AGBA to break $3.50 at 3.48 my order wouldnt go thru cause webull wouldnlt let me have that low of a SL I then bought in again at the top and lost $55 😢
Been in the simulator for my first month this last month. Staying in the green which I'm stoked about but seems like Id have to do premarket to make this my full time, not ideal considering that's 5am my time 😐

traded two stocks today. AUUD and BRTX with 1000 shares each! If stock price is above $5 and less than $10, I trade 500 shares max.
What % of bankroll are you aiming for each month?
I tade The Es Min having a issue with stop loss how many tick should I be using from my entry
It depends on your risk appetite. For me, I’d say a 5pt stop on a 10pt take profit is pretty reasonable with ES.

RE: When to quit: that makes total sense, ie, on rainy days, taxi drivers will draw more fares, so absolutely. Perhaps the days when the overall market shows more "sizzle", more enthusiasm, are the days to lean in, but not to be confused with one or two stocks that have great news.
There's an interesting story about taxi drivers and rain. It's been shown that most work on a " day rate " then go home. On rainy days , they work a few hours , earn their money then go home instead of working and working. When it's sunny they have to work longer and longer because the customer is walking in the sun. So they tend to work the wrong way around.
Ross, how secret is your trades journal? Would be interesting to see the historical decisions you made - both which stocks to trade and how you traded them. So that we would be able to see exactly what you were doing today, but just more examples of it. No need to even comment - just to see what you did

I’m in Canada and have only been trading stocks on the TSX do you reccomend I stay with CAD stocks so I dont have to go through losses on the currency exchange?
I’m Canadian too. I just exchanged a portion of my portfolio into USD and leave it there. I only trade USD in my Questrade account and I trade my TSX stocks in CAD in my Wealthsimple account

i made 1400. on a miss bet, and when you sound whinny i shake my head. im 63 yrs old and i was never allowed to complain. lol watching level two for the pullback has helped me cause my right eye is 100 %

If you are serious about finding profitability, trade in the sim. All the earnings are all at once at the end! Remember that.
Not sure what happened to my previous response lol but thank you for your support. I am in the simulator currently, and I’m looking forward to at least 6 out of 10 Green Day’s. I’m definitely not going to quit if it’s amazing for others it will be amazing for me too. Practice will make perfect ‼️

His share limit is 5k shares when he starts until he earns his first $1000 it usually costs between 10k-50k for a position. You can make good money trading with relatively small positions.

Hi Ross, I use to day trade 15 years ago. The problem I have is that I work days. The only thing I would have to trade with is my cell phone. I want to purchase warrior trading. Do you have any suggestions?
Trading from work is challenging. I am a beginner. I use my work computer to screen via yahoo finance and trade with my cell phone. I brought a monitor I did not use from home so I could have a second monitor to see the stock I am trading and a list of any others I am interested in.
Trying to day trade volatile stocks while your attention is divided AND doing it from a cell phone puts you at too much of a disadvantage. You will most likely loose in the end. I suggest getting into swing trading.

You did great! I was paper trading & thought I grabbed this long green spike. I checked on it there were 3 and I had no position the order wasn't filled. 🫤😡👺 I set the order wrong it wasn't even filled. Is there any way you can bring up all those windows and fill them in compared to the screen where you're trying to jump in and fill in the numbers? I have so many questions damnit.
