Elizabeth Acevedo live "A Love Letter to My Beloved"

ELIZABETH ACEVEDO was born and raised in New York City and her poetry is infused with her Dominican parents’ bolero and her beloved city’s tough grit. She is a Slam Champion and holds a BA in Performing Arts from The George Washington University and a MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Maryland. She is a National Poetry Slam Champion as well as a Cave Canem Fellow, CantoMundo Fellow, and participant of the Callaloo Writer’s Workshop. Here, she performs as part of Project Voice, a team of highly accomplished writers, performers, and educators.
