what a great way to show that every job matters and that F1 truly is a team sport.
There is no unimportant job on a modern F1 team. When you see a pit stop, guess who is the most important person? The jack stand guys, the ones changing the tires or the one holding the lollipop (sign in front of driver)? A driver said it's the last: the one with the lollipop tells everyone when they have the car jacked up and when it's down. The worst accidents I've seen in the pits were usually caused by errors in team orders: the lollipop guy pulled the sign too early. It can have tragic results. At an Indy Car race, Paul Tracy accidentally ran over one of his own guys because the lollipop man lifted the sign before everyone was clear of the tires. Fortunately, he only had a broken ankle. But it could have been much worse. And Michael Schumacher had trouble telling exactly where to stop at one race and accidentally knocked someone over. He wasn't injured. Basically no room for error in this kind of sport...
I can't believe they assemble this stuff every single week.
the team only use these big movable motorhome structures in European races. in overseas races they rely on buildings provided by the circuit.
ZijunTan I didn’t know that, thanks for the info.
Remarkable, a welcomed insight.
F1 Mercedes AMG, the Grand Prix team that best involves its fans.
Great Team work!
I love this sport. This is by far the most interesting sport out there. The team work, the excitement, and the competition.
Now, those men and women are real heroes. Great work everyone.
Thanks guys for these wonderful behind the scenes videos! Loving these posts!!!
That was brilliant, certainly filled a gap I was curious for. Thank you.
Respect to all the drivers and crew members of the team
Jim seems like a cool dude.
To bad he doesnt have a last name :(
Absolutely unbelievable! Brilliant teamwork!
Germans and German companies have the world's best work ethic without question. Truly inspiring.
Based in the UK with mostly British personnel,...
@@tonic1667 Not too much German spoken in Brackley and Brixworth,England !!j
@@tonic1667 Based in England, where most of the F1 teams are,end of lol !
Great team work. The logistics is huge. Nice done
I LOVE THESE SHORT MOVIES !!!!
This video makes me Glad for the F1 break in between, so much work to be done
I want to work for them. Passion and work best combo.
Nicely Done🔥🔥🔥🔥
Another great video. I've seen lots of shots at various tracks of the MB structure but I always thought they were permanent structures. Never could I have imagined that the entire thing was transported from race to race as modules. I have to wonder what would happen if one of the trucks was involved in an accident and a module was severely damaged. Are there spare modules brought along with the main ones?
Unlike other teams, this team doesn't go on about the country they're from as if that's somehow relevant. No, they just demonstrate who they are by being better than everyone else because of what they are and get on with the job of winning.
Unsung heroes ❤
good video
In the UA-cam era they can make even truck driving dramatic and exiting.
Respect
The Edge!!!
Salute to the truckers
Jim, just Jim
Wait so do they take these team buildings to places like Singapore, or is it just for european circuits?
They take them everywhere. Ferrari could use up to 11 (yes, eleven!) semis to ship everything including the hospitality suites to places like Singapore and Australia.
No we don’t use them outside Europe. There are permanent Paddock buildings at those races.
Mclaren made this look much more calm
Keep calm and put the pedal to the metal
it will be funny, if merc team use volvo/renault truck
I thought Eddie Stobart had the contract too transport the cars and equipment from race too race?
Perhaps on the stuff that is used by Liberty Media and FIA?
They do,this seems to be the motorhome side.
Interesting but could have been a lot better ie too fragmented. Good that Jim keeps it real, dream job in a great environment if you love F1, but not exactly difficult is it. All admin will be done by a team at HQ and kit is pre-designed by engineers at great cost and logistics by hydraulics etc. The kind of job to get out of bed for every day IMHO.
Can't wait replace Lewis for George seat.
The irony of this is that once the season starts, nobody on the team stops racing until the end of the last race on the schedule. When the drivers aren't racing, the crew are racing to the next stop on the schedule because it takes TWO days to put together the entire garage and hospitality/VIP suite. If you join an F1 team, you're always racing the clock.
Considering how many protests and strikes take place in France, I wonder if the teams have to leave extra early if they have to get to Magny Cours. My dad said the French have the worst traffic jams of any country he's been to in Europe.
What about the 1 month summer break mid-season?
The subtitles are really bad sometimes
If they can’t make it to the next race, then Lewis can’t race, isn’t it?! Ferrari...note the point. Hahaha😂😂
They literally carry a house?
F1 videos still use old engine sounds. Kinda shows how fucked up the current situation is on that note.
