These are fantastic videos, man. I just found your channel, but these are the types of videos I like to put on while I'm working on my bikes, or messing in my home bike shop. Thanks for posting them! Take care.
Wow - What an absolute mashfest early in the race. Those are some monster numbers y'all are pushing! Chapeau to hang on for as long as you did! The Raw Files are super dope as it's great to watch the race unfold. Some serious hitters at the front!
Alexi Grewal, "ow" at the end is so TDF 1986. No commissar cars, no television cameras, low attendance, crap venue, no thank you. Cycling isn't dying, it's dead.
amazing !!! I have seen many videos of Keegan, Pete Stetina, etc, etc, Those guys are gravel monsters. You kept their pace for more than 30 miles and that is woowwww. Keep it up and nice video.
These raw files are a great insight into the dynamics of the lead and chase groups. Thank you! The speed early on with such large groups on loose gravel with the dust and sun glare seems like it could produce some pucker moments and I got a cramp just watching the power over time profile to stay in those groups.
Gravel bikes are starting to look like modernized versions of 80s-90s mountainbikes! Nothing negative about that i guess. But its fun to see the trends go round :D
Amazing effort and guts to stay with the Keegan group as long as you did. I'm doing the race first time this year, 88 mile course. Looking back on last year, what tire width would you go with, 40s, 45s, semi-slick? Most of course looks like fairly packed sand/dirt except for the deeper stuff towards the middle/end of the course, but hard to tell from the video. Thanks and good luck in your next race. Keep up the great content!
Man, that pace was brutal and watching you guys absolutely fly down those -3% grades hitting sand 👀! You guys must have been cruzn 53x10’s!!! Nice job hanging as long as you did…. Maybe less pulls and trying to even out the power spikes. Both Tobin and Keegan didn’t seem to be accelerating as much as other riders but also pushed the pace on the grades.
Thanks for watching! I actually only had 48/10, but think I may switch to a 50 next year! It was tricky with the crosswind cause I’d you were too far back in the group you’d get guttered, and every time we turned we switched directions rotating and I got caught in bad spots a few times plus a few times people behind me stopped pulling through so I was stuck in the front. I was behind Keegan in the rotation a few times and he would drill it when he got to the front and it was tough trying to come around him!
@@yoeddy30000 I won’t be using inserts this year but I will be switching from 40’s to 45’s. Lots of soft gravel out there so more volume should help to float over it a little better! Make sure you’re up to date on sealant as well, loads of big thorns out there!
you went to the front too much. the course was breathtaking. I thought Michigan had the best gravel courses but this one was astounding. top 20 in a crazy stacked field full of hitters ~ well done ( 🎩) tip.
Thank you! It’s a little complicated. I first put all the clips together in Final Cut Pro and exported in mp4 so it’s compatible with garmin virb edit. From there you can upload your ride data and match it up. The tricky part is you can’t spit the ride data, so you have to make a new video in virb for every single clip, process it, and move it back to final cut to put it all back together. I’f I’m wrong about this and there is a way to split the ride data, that would be a huge time saver!
You said it about right! I was absolutely cracked after getting dropped from Keegans group. You'll never make it if you don't go for it though, I had to stick it out and try!
I would venture that, sadly, American cycling is stuck in the 80s. Right around the time of "American Flyers". Same music, same announcer, same vibe. Gross.

@@gerade-aus industry and uci kinda butt heads. If you come to any BWR race or other grass roots gravel races the finish is much more of a party!
I love your videos. I watch every one of them. Thanks for posting.
That’s amazing man. Killin it. Thank you

Love it! Thanks for posting the whole race. You folks were drilling it all the way through.
Awesome video! Brutal wind! Thank you for risking your race to create this nice video. The best coverage of USA Gravel Nationals!

Unbelievable efforts . Great video! Thanks for sharing !

nah - they are like modern road bikes just a little wider
Thank you for sharing, that was really cool to watch.
Amazing
Great race video coverage. Super human effort! Thanks for sharing.
What a good video!! I started watching your videos while using my trainer, that keeps me motivated. Thanks ❤

Wow. Congratulations.

Question:
What app is used to give that speedometer and map overlay on the video?
Garmin virb edit, it’s a bit of a pain to do but I like the way their gauges look
Me gustan tus videos
Very nice! Looks like a lot of racers on 40mm tires. Can someone confirm please. Thanks
how many participants took part in this brutal race?

Do you recommend using tire inserts for the 57 mile course?

I don't do a lot of comments but want to thank you for these raw clips. It's amazing seeing these rides.
