      No I didn't have to cut the input shaft but the end needs to be shaved a little to fit the pilot bearing...it was already done on the transmission I had

    Did they tell you what to do with the extra spacer? Having the same question on the swap I am doing

    • @CmoneyGarage
      @CmoneyGarage  Рік тому +1

      The Spacer is used to help make up the air gap for the release bearing. The screws I got with the kit was a bit short and I had to use some different ones.

    Damn man I just installed my kit and my engine is stuck/seized, is it because I have to cut the input shaft?

    • @CmoneyGarage
      @CmoneyGarage  3 місяці тому

      Not sure that could be a couple different issues

    Did you have to trim the input shaft at all autosportsengineering said something about that in his video ?

    • @CmoneyGarage

      The trans I got was already in a 2jz setup so I didn't personally have to do it because it was already done. I tested the pilot bearing over it and it fit perfectly.

    Cool video! Whats your diff and how do you like your gearing? Saw in another video your going up to 8000rpms, so Im guessing that solved the CD009 short gearing issue?
    New subscriber and insta follower taking notes for my stock aristo 500-700whp project. Mine has A01A diff (4.08 final drive 200mm standard open diff). Im concerned with the short gearing especially with just 6500rpms. Im not sure if I should push for a T56 magnum F. Ive heard the GS/Aristo can be too heavy for the CD009.
    Any tips appreciated

    • @CmoneyGarage
      @CmoneyGarage  Рік тому +1

      The gearing is definitely an issue and is very short looking to change soon to a 3.266 ratio and lsd. With the proper clutch setup the car being heavy should be an issue.

    • @ahmed9399
      @ahmed9399 Рік тому +1

      @@CmoneyGaragewhat's your current diff? For over 550whp I would be concerned with 3.266 being still too short because 4th gear at 6500rpms would be 121mph. I wish there was a 2.9 or 3.0 final drive option. That would put 4th gear @6500 rpms to 137mph or 132 mph respectively...
      It looks like the best way around this is to raise the rpms as much as possible and just go with a 3.266 from a gs400
      What do you think

    • @CmoneyGarage
      @CmoneyGarage  Рік тому +1

      The lowest available for our diff is 3.266 unless you go 8.8. I currently have the stock gs300 3.92. Yes raising the rpm will definitely help.

      @@CmoneyGarage would an LS460 2.93 diff bolt up easily without needing to change axles and all?

    • @CmoneyGarage
      @CmoneyGarage  Рік тому +1

      Don't believe the 460 diff is a direct bolt in. 400/430 are and those are the 3.266

    How’s the kit holding up?

  • @2jzgenat
    @2jzgenat Рік тому +1

    Have they created a kit where you dont have to cut the bellhousing?

    • @CmoneyGarage
      @CmoneyGarage  Рік тому

      I am aware, the no-cut kit has it disadvantages. It's not as precise as the cut kit and can cause shifting issues at high rpm and I believe the clutch options are not as good with the no-cut kit for hight hp cars.
