- Two Russian invaders - a father and a son from the Moscow region were told that Nazis and fascists allegedly kill civilians in Ukraine. Their command promised not to throw them into hot spots. Instead, they were thrown into the city of Mariupol under fire. They decided to surrender because they did not want to shoot. The captives said that coming to Ukraine was their mistake. They urged not to trust the Russian media and not to fall for the propaganda of the Putin regime. The captives also advise the Russian military not to use weapons and to surrender.

US soldiers: first Time?
It seems that Putin's regime is at its core more akin to a country-wide mafia organization with sophisticated propaganda, with the ideology only a useful lever to control people's actions according to the regime's will. Putin's regime seems at the core all about power & greed in the service of power.
Putin manipulates whatever lever of power he has at his disposal (most notable propaganda), to keep himself & his circle in Power + amass more power.
The ideology of Great Russia seems to not be widely shared & strongly believed in among his regime-members.
Fascists at least had a coherent, long-term consistent internal ideology behind their actions (blame the J*ws & join up the Germanic nations).
No such deeply-held fervour is apparent in Russia's political elite, while the Russian people largely either accept the ideological propaganda as the full truth, or decide nothing can be done to change their government's direction.

The majority of russian soldiers though are on board. Recognize that "if all russian soldiers felt they were in the wrong, killing civilians, there would be almost no shelling from russian troops inside Ukraine"
Instead, mass numbers of russian vehicles and tanks are launching missiles and tank rounds onto civilians. The vast majority of russian troops ARE NOT SURRENDERING, but are firing on civilians.

I've filmed many interviews and directed actors. This and many of the other interviews of captured Russian soldiers are genuine. It's actually very difficult to create a fake that will fool professionals.

Reminds me of my Grandpa. He (german) had to fight in WW2. He said they didn t know anything about what was going on behind the scenes (Holocaust etc). When he got into battle he didn t want to kill anyone and shot at random spots so that his officer wouldn t get suspicious. After WW2 he studied medicine and later worked as a doctor for the British in the the Caribbean. In war there are no winners

Most all German soldiers wanted to fight in WW2, and I imagine your grandpa actually did too. Germany had gotten a really bad deal after WW1, they lost valuable land and most all of their industry in the treaty. On top of that, they (the government) were required to pay the other nations for damages. It was impossible to do so since they had very little resources to raise money. So in the minds of most all Germans, it was a good and just reason to fight. My grandmother was in Germany during WW2 and one of my great uncles was in the army, they both said that they supported the war in the beginning. When the rumors started about the camps, they didn’t believe it. As time went on, people began to actually see some of the attacks on Jews, the camps, and trains taking Jews away. They then knew that Hitler had other plans. I remember my grandma telling me the story about being physically sick and crying all night when a very reliable friend told her about what he witnessed. She always felt shame for being a German during Hitler’s rule. She called him the little idiot that fooled the country.

There is nothing wrong with compulsory military service. It can be benficial in teaching discipline, structure and many life skills. The difference is that some countries with conscription make front line or dangerous postings voluntary.

They have been mislead by their government as a lot of the Russian people have. I believe the ordinary Russian citizen that knows the truth about this war does not want it. My god... the father has to fight really hard with himself not to start crying. At one point you can see him hitting his cup down in anger. The mixture of emotions going on in his eyes and body posture are of someone who's world and everything he took for granted just felled appart.

This is going to be a huge problem, for every 10 one soldier surrenders and says they were lied to and to be cannon fodder. The Russian POW’s cannot go home for fear of execution at the border in addition there family is at risk of being ostracized or thrown into work camps or thrown to the front line to fight this meaningless war of lies.

The video is so strange that at first you think these are actors. Then, you think that it would take incredible imagination to come up with this idea as propaganda. If you think it is true, then how could Russia be sending such untrained people into a battle zone without clear objectives? The idea of Nazis and a humanitarian convoy is laughable.
