- In this three-part series, I will be showing you guys how to polish and restore your aluminum wheels to a semi-gloss finish that looks amazing. In this part I put the finishing touches on my rim project by laying down a nice pinstripe and putting my new center cap on. Please check out some of my other videos, and if you like what you seen or found it useful, please leave a like and subscribe.

Very nice video, mahalo for making it and posting the websites to get the tools and tape.
Good project and good job. I did the stool thing when I clear coated mine. Talk about messing up I had to strip one of the rims due to clear coat mess up twice.
I'm not the best painter, that why I just stocked to polishing it. I knew I would get the results I was looking for by polishing them, with the down side of a little more matinence. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, this gives me a couple ideas. I wonder if they sell glow in the dark pin tape... Also.. at first I was thinking your math as off. But when I saw that the bead sits into the rim, and also it needs to overlap slightly to be right, I will try 54 inches lol.
Great Video!!! Very Detailed!!!!!!
Nice work!
Thank you! This was so helpful
Awesome video mate! Thinking doing this on my GTI Clubsport seen at my channel. Think it would be more complicated as the rims have diffrent design though, but ill look into it. Thanks for the excellent video! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, hope your project turns out
@@SWSpeedCo Yes mate! At least i just saw my Tuner sells it so well see. Will first be placing some WRC stickers on the door handles. Might be some video on it when done, also doing a resonator delete at vw tomorrow, & swap to a stright pipe so well get some more fun sound! Then thers the Stage 1 tune coming up later! 🙂 What engine is on that Corvette btw?
Gen 1 350
@@SWSpeedCo Awesome mate! 👍
Great video. Solved my dilemma
Good job !!
Is that special flexible tape, or can I use 6mm in free hand?
The tape I used is a 1/4 inch vinyl pin stripe tape. The tape does need to be flexible to make that bend without knocking.
@@SWSpeedCo okay. Thanks 😊
Awesome!!
so where do you buy that tool from link does not work
It seems like they changed thier website since i posted the video. I updated the link so it should work now. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!
