    In Japan do you look at farming with sawdust blocks in plastic bags any differently?

    I harvest maitake in michigan USA and they always grow at the base of oak trees.

    i never knew so much work went into harvesting mushrooms 😯
    I don't particularly like mushrooms, but i am curious on what to do with maitake mushrooms. Do you eat them as is, or stew them, or something else? It's not typically eaten in my area compared to it's more popular / widely known counter part, Shiitake mushrooms.

      Oh, I knew it! Maitake mushrooms are not well known abroad because they are difficult to export. The owner of Maitake told me.
      We cook them with rice, fry them with garlic, or make tempura!😋 Maitake mushrooms are really delicious! I hope you have a chance to try maitake mushrooms! Please come visit my countryside!🥰
