- Full Build of the HobbyBoss Su-30MKK kit in 1/48 scale. The scale model is converted into a Sukhoi 30 MKI used by the Indian Air Force.
I have done various modifications including making LERX with Canards, Engine Nozzles and Fins. OFAB bombs too have also been modified to represent the ones used by the Indian Air Force.
The Build is Out of the Box and all modifications and additions are scratchbuilt.

Hi Adi. This is Nasir from Pakistan. I saw your very satisfying and motivating build of Su30 MKI. What I like the most in the video was the scratch building part. I m also a scale modeler and a member of a group called Scale Modelers Association of Pakistan (SMAP) with many members spreading all over the country. I was wondering whether a similar group exists in India also or not. Regards

i think you missed out one important step, which is to provide a high gloss on the model before the decals go on. this is why there is a slight silvering on your decals. should always provide a high gloss before decals go on, then use the setting solutions, when its dry , then put on some decal softener, and when that dries, one more coat of gloss coat, then you can do you sludge wash and panel lines. when all is done, then the final flat coat goes on. everything is sealed and the decals are protected and silvering wont happen this way

Great model. What primer and paint brands did you use?
Capt Adi, I noticed you used styrene sheet for canards and then you fit the two fuselage together. There was gap between the two pieces. How did you manage to fit them together? Did you sand the styrene sheet that canards were made with?

Hello I am korean 🇰🇷. After seeing the teacher make a su-30mki canard, I am going to try it. If you know how many 'mm' of plastic plate you used,Is the putty hard when it hardens?

Hello . . The canards and the leading edge extensions are cut from 1mm plastic sheet. . . The putty is a two part epoxy putty which does dry hard. It can be wet sanded too . . Hope it helps. . .
