Many of my OBT (Orange Baboon Tarantula) are outgrowing their deli cups, so I’m slowly going to rehouse them into larger glass enclosures. Today we’ll be doing one.

One of the few times I've seen a tarantula bite defensively. So many times you see them threat posture and slap the ground but they don't usually follow through. Makes sense that it's an obt 🤣🤣🤣
Since I watched you and showed my mum your channel, she has now gotten over her fears and now we own lots of tarantulas. I'm getting myself one too!
Same I’ve gotten over my fear somewhat! I found a spider in the bathroom, and called it “Little susie” but sadly.. we had to get rid of her cause when I was showering she was jumping out at me being aggressive. So we did have to..😢 anyway! My mother though won’t get me a tarantulas😢
@@blondie8618 Pretty sure you disturbed it's web and it just got scared and jumped off the web and landed on you or while having shower, water might had got splashed into it's web which scared it. No household spiders are aggressive. You killed it just because of fear.

But in your Videos, it's so easy to understand everything.
Wouldn't it be easier and less stressful to just put the T inside it's small enclosure, into the bigger/new enclosure , put the lid on it and let it come out on its own
It usually doesn't work that way. I tried it with two of mine, they just stayed in their little enclosures and expanded their webs out into the new enclosure.

Tapping her with the brush is why she attacked it. I love your videos but you stress your Ts out too much. I would suggest watching Dave’s Little Beasties. He never has any problems even with the aggressive species. I don’t understand why you complain so much about your Ts doing t stuff.
Buy a hands free head or chest mount for the camera, its a thing so you can use 2 hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has one. Same with a tripod. Refuses to use them because it would mean preparation and taking more time.
Just curious, do you have any videos of the tarantulas biting you or a friend and the effects of the bite? Kinda like the pissy biting your friend video. I've learned alot by watching your videos. I thought tarantulas were dangerous. Little spiders scare the pants off me so I can't imagine being around those huge ones. Lol. But TFS! I enjoy them.

Yea maybe you should not move the enclosures with one hand :D don't think we will be hurt not seing you move the enclosures :D would be a disaster if you dropped one with a T in it
I'm sorry, but I think you've become very problematic as a tarantula creator. I've been following you for the past two years and you've only grown more and more impatient with the T's, rushing re-housings (seriously, just leave the fucking cup in there overnight) and severily rushing mating. You can't expect them to mate within 10-15 minutes. Poking and prodding them isn't the way to go.
I get that you want to make it entertaining for us, but endangering and/or forcing them to do stuff for the sake of views is just wrong.

Agreed. And continuing to do things one-handed when it almost resulted in a broken enclosure in this video. Take the time it requires to do things properly instead of rushing because you need content. It scares me that people would look at this tarantula owner and do things the same way. Impatience and carelessness are not good when dealing with tarantulas.

@@dustbites3557 Did we watch the same video? He tried to make his T rush out of the cup and into its enclosure. Instead of stressing it out repeatedly with the brush, he should've just left it alone after the first bite.

Instead of annoying the T why not take a large pair of tongs and just lift the webbed up substrate out of the plastic container and into the new enclosure. More than likely, the spider would retreat to a web tunnel and you might be able to lift her and the web out at the same time.
I would be reluctant to stress the T with her being forced to repeatedly bite the brush.. even if it's soft.

OMG MAN!!! Get a phone hold that connects to your chest so you can video with two hands. It should hold your phone in place and you don’t have to worry about only using one hand!!! Please man I love your content:):):)

I've been subscribed to your channel for a few years now and I've finally gotten around to affording a T of my very own! He's a juvenile pinktoe tarantula that I'm waiting to molt a few times before finding out the real gender and picking an offical name but for now he's named Jason ☺
Do you have any issues with feeding Jason?
@@QueenJaJaKitten So far I haven't, but he's only an inch or so long. Still a juvenile so he's pretty eager to eat once he got settled into one of his hides.

Hi exotics, my name is Angel I just got a pink toe tarantula about a month ago. Her enclosures the exact way it needs to be but she won’t eat and hasn’t eaten since I got her and I’m quite worried about her, when I got her, her butt was quite big and round but now it’s small and thin and I’ve checked for parasites and anything else that could cause it but haven’t found anything wrong with her other than her leg, when she came to me she was missing a leg and I researched everything about it and how to help it and I’ve taken care of it until she molts but it’s been a month and she hasn’t molted either. I don’t know what else to do.

Drill some holes in the top. You seem to have some problems in those tanks with the wooden tops I’ve noticed
If you notice, there are slots on top of the cover where air can enter inside the tank.
There are gaps between the boards that allow quite a bit of circulation but not enough for a T to get out. EL did a video on how to make the tank tops a while ago.
