I’ll use the names John Mulaney used, Craig is a part time dog walker, Stasia works from home making sweaters for cats, and also teaches a mambo class on the weekends. They’re looking for a two story, A frame that’s kind of close to downtown, but far enough away that it feels like the country. With 4 kids and a budget of 2 million, let’s see what Lori Beth can find them. 😂
Yes. That's corporate America. And the world let's banks exist and operate when all they do is use your name to steal from you if you understand how it works.
@@shaquillecovington That’s EVERYTHING in life. Corporations can steal from you but they have no repercussions, but if you do, you go to jail or get fined. Notice how quickly money can be taken from your bank account, but when you are being refunded, it can take days upon days. A bank can steal your money, but if you steal from a bank, you go to PRISON. The casino can legally shut down a machine if you win, but if you plan a dupe on them, you go to jail. They can make you wait over an hour for a Doctor’s appointment, but if you’re 10 minutes late, you’re forced to reschedule, sometimes even charged. The courts can say you didn’t pay 3 tickets that you paid 15 years ago, out of the blue one day. They don’t have to prove you didn’t pay but you have to prove you did. (Dealing with this now) Companies are allowed to constantly false advertise with no consequences. If you did this, it would be fraud. Landlords don’t have to follow any laws, when it comes to tenant laws, but if you don’t pay your rent on time, you are evicted. For example, in AZ you are required to fix AC in summer in 5 days at the most. But they left me and my kids for 44 days where the inside of our home was 99, the courts took their side because they said they would give me $250 towards a portable ac unit which the cheapest in room one was $500 and house was a 2 story. I could go ALLLLL day. I’m so tired of it.
My ex’s sister auditioned for The Voice. She had to sing for three separate producers before making it to TV. After singing for the third producer, he said her voice was amazing but she wasn’t pretty enough for TV. Broke her heart.
I have a friend who tried too. She was told to sing in a big auditorium while several other people were singing for other "judges." She said it was so loud how could they have even heard her? Now any time someone says she should try for any show, she changes the subject. It wasn't a pleasant experience in any way.
I applied for House Hunters and the producer asked where in the process I was. When I told them we were looking, aka hunting, she said to reach out when we had a house purchased but had not moved in yet. They wanted us to film after we bought the house but hadn't moved in so it would still be empty or previous owners still had their stuff in it. Otherwise they would stage the house if needed. We didn't do the show since we wanted to move into our new house instead of wait 3 weeks for filming.
I remember watching that hidden temple show all the time when I was a kid. I even saw an episode where a kid broke their leg and they never edit it out I saw the whole thing and was terrified.
I knew two young men who went for American Idol. Both incredibly talented. Both talked about the process of appearing before different panel of judges of course before you even get to the seen panel of famous ones…makes sense. One was already too polished & far along for the show. Makes sense because he had been professionally trained however he was disappointed as he was hoping to start a career from it. The other succeeded on actually appearing on the show. He talked about how much the producers kept trying to stir shit between the contestants & film the drama/tension. And if you weren’t game, just wanted to do your thing but not get involved in drama they’d try coaxing you a couple of times before giving up & off the show you’d go because you’re not helping bring in views. He’s gone on to start a successful entertainer career anyways.
Thats why I've always giving people hell for watching them. It's all scripted. I'm not the smartest person in the world but lawwwdd. People love drama.
Am I the only person who remembers the week where Leno hosted a prime time version of his show and it bombed? Conan O'Brian took over The Tonight Show but when Leno's prime time show tanked in very short order he was kicked to the curb and Leno got his previous job back. NBC screwed Conan super hard without dinner OR a ring. I bet he's still bitter about that.
Conan seems super mentally healthy. I bet he's let it go. He probably made all the money in the contract and his crew did too. He was a very big advocate for his crew
The first clue that House Hunters was fake is that the couple wanted opposite things every single time. I just watch International because i like to see the houses.

_Pawn Stars_ isn’t filmed in the real store at all. Well, rather, the first few episodes *were* filmed in the actual store but once the show was a hit, the store was flooded with fans and it made producing the show impossible. So, producers built a clone pawn shop on the premises, but out of sight of any fans/customers. That way production could continue and the pawn shop’s business wasn’t interrupted.
I remember my grade 9 science teacher telling us about his vacation to Los Vegas during some sort of Christmas or spring break. He said that he had gone to the store from Pawn Stars and that it was 1) way smaller than he had expected it to be; and 2) had a gift store. He told us about the shirt he bought, which said something like, “Chumlee is my second son,” but I may not be remembering that specific detail correctly. Seeing as I only ever had this teacher for one class, I know that I heard this story when I was in grade 9, so that would have been during the latter part of 2010 or the first half of 2011 (I am leaning towards it being the latter but can’t actually pin it down). Given that seasons 2 to 4 came out during those years, this would have been very early on in the show’s runtime. I just find it kind of amusing that these sorts of things were already kind of public knowledge at the very beginning and it still became as popular as it did.
I didnt really understand the Leno one? The show didnt think Letterman was nice to staff so they offered the job to Leno and he took it? How does this make him a bad guy?
Competition shows are never reality. Even the Real Housewives franchise is semi-scripted; what production cannot control are the audience and the cast's response to our opinions. And the Who Wants to be a Millionaire scandal... if the wife knew all the answers, does it matter that the husband is the one who gave them? Why wasn't the wife up there in the first place?
Additionally, there was a friend/acquaintance of theirs in the audience as well. That person was also supplying answers via coughing. So, he had two people helping him out.
I was kind of in the background of a reality show once. It’s real people, but they do things to get them in trouble, cause drama, make them late, etc. Like they towed this up and coming band’s van when on their way to a gig just for drama effect. So, they ended up being late and having to do all these antics the show setup. But the band was so enraged mad, but they sign a contract that says they will do what producers say.
That might have been the case until Rivers took a late-night gig at the brand new Fox network, essentially becoming a competitor with The Tonight Show. Carson never forgave her for that and never spoke to her again.

the reason everyone expected Letterman to be the successor to Carson: Letterman was given the slot after Carson in order to have him ready when Carson retired. Johnny Carson expected Letterman to be the one. He even used Letterman's show to announce his retirement. Of course, the real scandal is how Carson was forced out. Personally, I never found Leno entertaining. he made several appearances on the Letterman show before he got the Tonight Show gig. he was never funny to me. I watched Letterman instead of Leno.

Unfortunately, this level of manipulation and deception does happen in reality. It all depends on who’s making the rules, and what narrative they desire. Unbiased, fair and legitimate practices, rarely exist. We live in a world where the rules change, gaslighting is an art, and truth is subjective.
Amos was also upset that Jimmie Walker was upstaging him and got more lines and face time as the show became more popular and he got fewer. It happens a lot in TV; Michael J. Fox was just supposed to be a secondary character in “Family Ties” but as he became more popular, David Gross and Meredith Baxter-Birney saw their roles take a back seat to his. Urkel became the star of “Family Matters,” and in “Last Man Standing” on ABC, Mandy became the central piece (when the show was picked up by Fox after a season’s hiatus, there was a new actress playing Mandy, and the chemistry was different).
tv shows have been rigged since the 1950's. the one that got me was the boo boo the commentator said in 2022 the bachelor ran for 28 years the math does not compute

I had a friend years ago that was on the biggest loser. He told us about how not just the dialogue was scripted, but they would tell him where to stand, how to stand, when to laugh, how to laugh....... The whole bit.
Wow the 1st one that Temple Game.. I watched that all the time. I had forgotten all about it.
So they can cheat but if a player does its "lets call the police" wow. They really screwed that man. He lost his military job and everything
Unfortunately, this level of manipulation and deception does happen in reality.
It all depends on who’s making the rules, and what narrative they desire.
Unbiased, fair and legitimate practices, rarely exist.
We live in a world where the rules change, gaslighting is an art, and truth is subjective.
Crime does not pay ⛓
I could never see j.clarkson be a host of who wants to be a millionaire
Letterman blew the tonight show out of the water😆 Why would he do the tonight show?🤔
Janet Jackson has that much clout that they blurred her out of the Good Times segment? Ha!!!!
The Voice Brazil had a lot of scams too
Amos = Legend ✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
Sounds like Amos got a big head and was ready to fight so they fired him…I don’t see a problem with that
Amos was also upset that Jimmie Walker was upstaging him and got more lines and face time as the show became more popular and he got fewer.
Why in the world did you blur Janet Jackson?
tv shows have been rigged since the 1950's. the one that got me was the boo boo the commentator said in 2022 the bachelor ran for 28 years the math does not compute
He didn’t say _The Bachelor_ ran for 28 *years* but rather between _The Bachelor_ and _The Bachelorette_ they’ve accumulated 28 *seasons.*
I remember that episode where "James" dies..
It was not.. "DynOmite!"
My Seventh Grade Teacher was on Survivor for a day or two Wanda Shirk.
James Evans died in a car accident.
