its called jet sprints here in nz. the top guys run blown injected big blocks 2000+hp. more common is 800hp na v8s a while back there was a turbo quad rotor sprint boat look it up i think ppre built

That is Belgian crew. Bruno Thiere and Stephan Prevot. Ford Escort WRC ..rally New Zeland 1998 Ford factory team. Bruno was injured. BACKBONE damaged but later was ok. Ari Vatanen took his place in Ford for a while.
Man, the safety systems really shine in some of these. The Hans are so on point most guys are hardly winded or rattled. Adrenaline as-well for sure, but we all know back in the day these same crashes happened and those guys didn't head home to relax that night.
